VERY LATEST CLOTH at THE OSNEY ARMS.

1.53pm. Friday 26th January 2007.

       Osney Arms (Botley Road – Oxford) are to receive the latest cloth (by Hainsworth) which was displayed this week at an exhibition in London, the managing director of the company said “we have already tried it out on the snooker tables with great feedback by the top boys, and would like to introduce it on the smaller tables” although dearer than the old tradition cloth (West of England 6811) it is reported to be faster, and more hardwearing.

       Bar Billiards Ltd. (Ascot) has over 1000 sites, and automatically chose The Osney Arms as one of their two sites which they will experiment the new cloth on (despite only being re-covered 42 days ago).

I see whats going on here your changing the cloth on the table after Mondays defeat - bet you wish you had it in then.

New policy then Malc if you don't like the tables there banned although have never been a lover of the rover tables myself and Milehouse he hates them (only ever won there once I think)

Only joking maybe the premiership should have a rule that all tables have to be upto a minimum standard otherwise promotion is foregone - what do people reckon ???????

     Yes totally agree ALL premier tables must be recovered with top quality cloth at least FOUR TIMES (every 13 weeks) a YEAR. (Osney is 5 times a year lol)

That would mean a premier league of 2 teams, i don't know any where else that changes that many times.

Do we know how much that cloth will cost.

      The Managing Director (Mr. Ken Hussey) of Bar Billiards Ltd. has just informed  Cell Phone me that the cloth has arrived in, and will be installed next week in time for Saturdays Town  vs Gown on the 10th February. (12pm start)Come On
