The B's last gasp victory against table toppers W Berks may well be enough to secure a spot a Nationals, though not confirmed yet!
However, the preparations must continue as if they are.
There is a team meeting on Sunday (4th Feb) at Riley's starting 10am. This is to sort out money, caravans and drivers, as well as youth affairs. The A team has a match against Somerset, and ladies a match against Bristol Ladies so will be leaving by 10.30am.
The teams for Nationals have been picked and texts have been sent out. If you have not heard, or need further information, then please ring either Marcus or myself.
Nationals are Thursday 1st March - Sun 4th March @ Selsey £50 per person (whether playing or not I'm afraid!).
Just two points you have me down as winning 2 and losing 3 in the game against west berks on the B sheet indiviuals so that makes the result look like 15 - 14 when only 27 frames played ?
Can't help but spot all the frames in the A Team came from the B players - ironic really....

Thank you Beefy ... of all the people to make a mistake on i had to .....
The tables are the most uptodate they can be. I have rung the county organisor for a few results and asked the other counties.
So uptodate that they now even include Oxford A's claim over Somerset who have conceded the game on Sunday. So the individual stats are now the final 2006/2007 Rankings
A's Match vs Somerset therefor cancelled.
Now before you ask Beefy, I have no idea about England trial points, nor what happens to people scheduled to play on Sunday regards England trials. However, the team that was to be played on Sunday would have their qualifcation criteria for Oxfordshire dropped by 10% (There were to be 10 games this season .....) to 33 Points. Since this doesn't affect anyone what so ever, it is all academic anyway!!
Yup, I have two crews racing in Torpids (Oxford college rowing event) Wednesday to Saturday this week, although racing Wednesday and Thursday is cancelled. However, there still might be some racing Friday and/or Saturday hence can't commit to the Finals.
I expect nothing less than seeing four Champion teams return to Oxford Sunday evening.....

Not sure if it is the Final or group of Finals seems a great achievement though, yes good luck!
Great Nationals for the men's A team, Runners up, Well Done boys
Good National's for the girls unlucky not to make it out of the group because off frame difference, and only by 1 frame I think, after giving the winners a very good match in the group stage, the winners which had already gone through lost there last match which put the girls out. A very unlucky end which they did not deserve. Well done girls, I'm sure your go back next year and kick some butt.
A brillaint weekend at Selsey saw the 'A's get runners up losing a good final 14-10 to Staffordshire after a quite stunning Semi final win over tournament favourites Cambridgeshire 14-8.
The ladies missed out on their first ever Semi by 1 frame!! Going out on frame difference. The performance though was very encouraging.
Our Youth side put in another spirited display also going out on frame difference only, hinting at an interesting future.
Indeed, JFK. Glad you never mentioned the B's shocking performance!
If anyone has any pictures they took at the event, then send them to me at www.ocpf.bun.com and they might get up on the website. The more embarassing the better...
Not that its important John but you havent highlighted the two frames where i got broke/dished against!lol
I have to say how proud and honoured i am to have been a part of such a brilliant and spirited team this weekend, everybody cheering and screaming for each other and everyone doing their bit, has anyone else got flat knuckles now? John pointed something out, that we had one of the youngest teams there too, so plenty of time to grow as a team etc, although this weekend you'd have thought it was a team that had been playing together for years!
I have a snooker singles final tonight, and after some of the horrific pressure and tension felt at selsey there is one thing for certain, i wont be getting nervous tonight!
