Seems a long time to me since I left the ‘big city’ and moved down ‘ol Devonshire way… But it’s been an interesting couple of years and I’ve finally found an even keel.
After 5... Yes 5!!!… changes of address, 4 jobs, 1 divorce and countless hours of paperwork, I’ve got a job in delivering cars for insurance companies, doing approx 2000 miles a week… for pretty good money, for down here anyway!… Set up home in a nice house with my new girl… And playing pool in 2 leagues a week, and snooker once a week. Quite getting back into the big table recently actually with my most recent decent break being of 96... Damn that last Pink ball!
And… got a deal with the local shop for a regular order of 12 litres of the lovely formented apple juice for a tenner!!!
Mmm… Sweeeeet!
Had a read of the forum… Some same old faces, some new ones… And Beefy! Ha!
Hope you’re all having a good new year and all the best on the table…
Great to hear from you again mate - glad things have settled down a bit. Good luck with that century break, though apparently the pockets are bigger down that way!
How you finding Pool down that way one of the lads who used to play for the Tandem in the Abingdon league moved down there several years ago but comes up regularly and even played as a wild card reserve in one match last year.
We told him the rules (Bapto) and he said what are they, all world Rules down my way - you finding the same ? Will we see you at the national finals one year playing for Devon ?
I can't believe you had to set up a regular order for fortified apple juice you love so much, its made down that way !
Nice break on the old snooker table though funny how pinks screw up breaks, I messed up a 50 the other week (good for me considering I hardly play the game) with a pink to the corner
All the best,
Keith
