2007 Dave Jones Memorial Cup Knockout

Will be taking place Sunday 14th October at Oracle Snooker Club, Abingdon.

11:30am for a 12noon start.

Open to Oxfordshire EPA registered players, or any player residing in Oxfordshire.

Registered players: £5 per entry, Non-Registered Players: £7 per entry

Played to 'World' Rules

As the Selsey tournament got cancelled I might just have a go at this.

I understand the bite from this kind of spider is quite deadly unless you are lucky enough to have an antidote with you.

Is that the times you were told Ash? Apparently all the flyers said 11am. I turned up at 11.45 assuming I'd be ok only to be told I was too late. cry

 confused I was sent the official event poster by Potter which stated 11:30am for a 12 noon start. Even then, I guess you could argue that 11:45am was too late?

fair enough kev, u gave me a kicking, but that was in the 5hity world rules, didnt realise they were that bad, we'll see in the good old blackball rules wont we POPS!

The rules are the same for both players although the deliberate foul needs some getting used to. when it is a good time and when not a a good time to play one.

Personally its the only thing I have against these rules becuase in my opinion you should have to make an attempt to play your ball on every shot.

Sounds like a case of bad workman blaming his tools or the rules in this case.......................

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, obviously thats why the Oxford sunday league got rid of the 8 ball clearance trophies.

They've replaced them with "I BEAT  the GREAT MING once upon a time" trophy. Apparently it used to be the"I BEAT  the GREAT MALCOLM once upon a time" trophy. but was costing the league too much money every year.

i'm gonna sponsor the inaugral " I've never beat MING" singles next year. 1-5 favorite Jimmy Cairns

      I know exactly what you mean MING as I only recorded an 82.81% WINNING ratio throughout the 4 Oxford Pool leagues this year, I MUST be slipping in my old age or getting too SOFT.Belly Laugh
