Nationals this year are 6th-9th March at Selsey. Actual county play is 7th-9th (play can start at 9am though)- the 6th is for practise and flyers should anyone be interested. Anyone, player or not can come and enter flyers/singles comps etc or just watch - details below.
To say selection has been hard is an understatement - with many different factors influencing it. If you have a grievance then please contact your team manager or I and we will be happy to explain criteria/reasons. Below are the teams for nationals. As ever, with work commitments some people are reliant on work schedules not available yet etc and so spaces may become available and will be offered according to the trial finishing order.

The cost for Nationals is £50 a person - this is fixed regardless of length of stay or non player status and includes accommodation for nights of 6th,7th, 8th AND 9th (the Sunday) should you want it.
The National Singles Competitions now requires pre-registration but are open to anyone and so if you would like to enter Mens, Ladies or Youth competitions, whether a county player or not then let me know on the 10th or before with the appropriate fee (Mens £10, Ladies £10 (I think), Youth £5 (I think - am checking).
Accommodation is in Caravans. There are 8 berth (min number of 5 people to a van) and 6 berth (min of 4 people to a van) caravans. If you want to go in groups etc let me know by/before the 10th Feb.
AGM
The AGM is on Sun 10th Feb @ Colours at 11am. There are a number of posts up for election this year - Kevin Mcllroy will be publicising these with deadlines for nominations, procedures etc very shortly. This is a chance for anyone to raise issue about OCPF and get involved.
Oxfordshire County Mens Singles Competition
This yearly event is being held straight after the AGM on 10th Feb at Colours - 12.30 pm. It will probably be a best of five double-eliminator. Trophies for winners + a 2008/09 Squad Place for furthest non retained mens player (providing at least 16 players take part). Only players that have played for a men's team in 2007/08 season (i.e. A, B1 or B2) are eligible to play.
Ladies and youth competitions are on 9th Feb @ colours.
For any other queries about these or other issues please contact either myself (07880 723844), Marcus Guise or Kevin Mcllroy.

Youth singles is £10 per entry ... not 5 as previously thought.
The A Team have been seeded 1, B1 seeded 2 from the southern region. It would also appear that Oxford A did in fact win the southern region , and the B1 side finished 2nd on frame difference ... but for that defeat to our own B2 side they would have finished top!!
Some Good Top end positions, for Oxford Players. Ming 3rd, JFK 4th and Sir Ramrod 6th in the A rankings Marcus 2nd and Nick Mansell 6th in the B rankings Alex La Via 5th in the Ladies, But the big area win was the Youth Jamie Saczak 1st, Adam Poole 3rd and Peter Debanks 4th, Well done All.
England trials will be interesting with the gulf in matches between the A's and B's this time around. They always seem to make mistakes in the regional rankings who calculates them.....

i dont fully agree with boinky because i think derbyshire are a really good team and banks is underating essex. we only beat them 11-8 last time so they could easily go through an all. and last year everyone were on about derbyshire b not being very good and it turned out we lost to them 11-3. so derbyshire c could be good or better.
but saying all that im am still confident though about us going through but im with jamie i aint thinking were already thorugh because our group is still tough. but weve certainly got the team though to do well this year
