Unfortunately the A1 Pool Hall "A" pool team was a "NO SHOW" this evening, so we (OSNEY ARMS) are now through to the Oxford (Sunday) Pool League Team K.O. semi finals ....................................... they weren't a no show.

Infact almost all of them were in A1. 2 of them were playing a doubles 1/4 final. At least 2 more of them were there also.

I'm sure the reason why they didn't turn up would be more along the lines of nobody told them they had a match. If they were planning on not turning up, then they would have called you to let you know Malc.

Apparently Emma had told them about it but from Malc's efforts last night to find out where they were it seems they thought they were no longer in the competition (!?).

Surely they have a copy of the draw on the board at the A1 Pool Hall?

If there was a copy of the draw. Annie would have made sure that it was up. If it had a date to be played on, on it. Annie would have made sure they knew.

If they knew about the match they def would have been there (regardless of whether Emma mentioned it to them. Lets face it they're not the sharpest tools in the box, are they?).

I can't recall a single time that an A1 team or prior to that a Moody's team failed to turn up to a game.

just to say i spoke to martin coyle sunday night and he told me, he new saturday day time!!!! and most of his team were away. so if they were at a1 then there was no reason why they couldnt go. there doubles match was against will cooper and chris harman, so you cant tell me they wouldnt have rearranged that when they play at the same venue and are mates im sure they would have understood!

i think its more of people dont listen when they are told something ,as everybody else new who and where they were playing.

not every one has the internet so not everyone can find out about matches if there is no paperwork for it, and i wasn't out friday i found out saturday afternoon. the only members of my team that was up A1 on sunday was me skip and fordy,and we gave malcom the game because it was short notice to get a team if i knew earlier we would have turned up.
