I came so close to a beefy breakfast special with the white on a yard string around the table but unfortunately the cannon on the last one let me down as it finsihed touching ball or else it was on as the black was straight.

The website is now updated with current knockout results and fixtures.  There are still quite a few matches which should have been played by now but I've not seen any results, namely around the Two Man Knockout.

I presume those who are behind with their matches have them scheduled in the very nearby future?

If there are any problems with the dates of the finals as published on the website feel free to negotiate between your opposition and Emma to rearrange, but clearly we'd much prefer you to rearrange earlier and not later!

KICK THEM OUT

if people haven't played be the due date then you should kick them out.

I regularly work on Sundays and need to book them off a few weeks before when playing in comps etc. Then, having done so i find out that my/our opponents havent played the previous round (s).

The website has been updated further with a few more results I wasn't aware of earlier.

There are a handful of Semi Finals matches which still need to be played.  Don't wait for someone to ring you to arrange it, give your opposition a ring or call Emma to find out who you have if you don't already know.

We aim to hold three finals on the night of the Presentation Night (28th September).  These are the Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Singles.  We won't be holding any other finals on this night so please make every effort to get your Semi Final matches played so we can arrange the Finals for other knockouts for before the 28th.

The Team Knockout Final is planning for the 21st September, with the Finals for the Three Man and Two Man to be arranged between the finalists once they are known.

All,

Please note that there have been a couple of changes to the schedule of knockout prelims.  The changes have been made to the files on the website.

The Doubles Prelim is now to be played on the 16th Nov, the Three Man and Mixed Doubles Prelims must be played by the 31st March (no rush then!) and Two Man Prelims by 21st Dec.  The Singles remains to be played on the 9th Nov.

The website is updated with results from tonight's Singles KO Prelim.  There are two matches to be rearranged and a couple of claimed matches due to no shows.

The draw for the 1st Round will be made by members of the Folly Bridge on the 23rd November at the Osney Arms.

The date for the 1st Round of the Singles KO is the 25th January 2009.

Results from two of last night's Team KO Prelims:

Catherine Wheel B 3 - 1 East Oxford Con Club

Rileys Red Devils 3 - 0 Rileys C

Of the other two prelims the Osney Arms had previously beaten North Oxford Con Club 3-0 and I'm waiting on the final result between the Quarry Gate and Folly Bridge.

The draw for the quarter finals will be made on Sunday 11th January 2009.
