Note from Ladies A Captain...

The Oxfordshire County Blackball pool team are looking to enter a second ladies team into the region next year. This will mean that we will be looking for up to 15 extra players through our county trials, which are on 15th March 2009, at 2.30 pm at Riley's, Cowley.

We are looking to appoint a ladies B team captain for the season 2009/10.

This will involve working with myself and the ladies manager to select the team, contacting the players, organising transport to matches and captaining the team on the day of the matches. The lady who becomes the B team captain will be given a full playing squad place without having to attend trials (but may have to help out at trials!). However, the first major responsibility will be to help boost attendance at trials this year, to ensure that we have enough players to enter a second team. The position will not be a full OCPF committee position, but will make up part of the ladies selection committee.
 
The two main things we are looking for is someone who is organised and enthusiastic, so if you think you could do the job, please apply!

Applicants (if there is more than one!) will then be voted on at our county singles day on 15th February. As it is a ladies only post, only existing female county players will have a vote.
