The English Blackball Pool Federation are considering incorporating a "Seniors" section into the County Championships from the 2009/10 season.

With this in mind they are holding a trial event during the forthcoming County Finals in Selsey to gauge the interest.

Therefore the OCPF are looking for players who are interested in representing Oxfordshire at senior level both at the trial event and hopefully from next season.

Currently the age limit for  "seniors" is 40+. Matches consist of 25 frames (5 players playing round-robin)

So, if anyone is interested please contact me via the usual channels.


This offer is open to both current and non-current county players, however, it is believed that current county players will not be able to play in 2 team events at the County Finals due to the event being played at the same time as the other team events. So you will need to consider this if you are a current county player..

UPDATE!!

Looking very promising of not only having a team for the forthcoming 2008/09 season, but also a squad to compete in the trial event at the national finals in March biggrin

It will be nice to see some old legends return to the county scene wink and many thanks for all these replies so soon.
