I am saddened to announce the sudden passing of JOHN DUNKLEY former landlord of The Marlborough House, and  The Chester Arms and currently The Ampleforth Arms.

John was a long term regular of The Osney Arms before moving into the pub trade, and a personal friend of mine, my thoughts are with Anne, Tracy Vicki and all his family at this sad time.

Rest in peace JD

Malc, Sue and family
Maria Oliver and family

No way.

John and I enjoyed a few friendly pool confrontations over the years.

The last thing I remember is the knockout at the Chester a bit before Christmas where Karima and I were entertaining him with our somewhat pervy conversation...  I can't believe we wont see him again.

RIP John.

Another sad loss for the pool world. I got to know John fairly well when he was running the Marlborough House and thought he was a really nice bloke. My condolences to Tracy, Shane and the rest of the family.

I can't believe this with Pete and Brian already now John to. John was always a great host when playing against his team at the Chester and Marlborough and will be missed.

RIP John

I was very saddened to hear about JD this morning, I will miss his hugs. He was a lovely guy. Last time I saw him was at Brians funeral and he seemed fine then.

Thoughts go out to his family and many friends.

RIP John. X
