STUART CARTER – THE QUARRY GATE

      It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of Stuart Carter (landlord of The Quarry Gate) after a short illness on July 4th aged 50.

      Stu was one of my longest friends as we went through school together from the age of 5, (Infants, Juniors and seniors in those days) at East Oxford School (Union Street)

      Stuart was one of Oxford city's longest serving landlords and amongst the pubs he ran were Six Bells, Crown & Thistle, Duke of York, and finally The Quarry Gate, he will be greatly missed by all.


Our condolences to his family at this very sad time.
