We have two social events coming up open to all OCPF county players

Friday 11th September - 7.30pm - Bowling @ Kassam Stadium

Sunday 4th October - from 12pm - Blackball Fives (fun £5 tournament) @ Rileys

 OCPF Bowling Extravaganza!!!!

Date: Friday 11th September 2009

Arrive from 7pm. to start bowling at 7.30pm

Cost: £14 for: 2 games + Basket meal

Payment required in advance by 6 September

  

Location: Bowlplex, Kassam Stadium

 


 

Deposit  MUST be paid in advance. Money will be collected by committee members at the Berkshire county game on September 6th 

Otherwise please contact Jaz to make alternative arrangements

Blackball Fives
A fun county competition open to all squad members


Date: Sunday 4 October 2009

Venue: Rileys

Registration: 12 - 1pm
Draw: 1pm sharp, play to commence by 1.15

Entry fee: Youth £3, Others £5

 

Teams will be drawn at RANDOM from a hat, resulting in mixed ability teams so it wont just be a case of watching the usual suspects thrash it out in the latter stages. Tables will be available on free play from 12pm.

 

  • Each team will play each other in the group stage, short format of one frame each. 

  • One point per frame during the group stage.

  • There will be a blind draw for each game. 

·    Top four teams based on overall points will progress to the knockout stage.

  • Any ties will be decided based on the result between the teams concerned.

  • Knockout stage will be best of three between each pair of players, also with a blind draw. The winning team will be determined by total frame points (per Thurs League).

  • Prize money will be split approx 65:35 between the winning team and runners up. 

  • Trophies will be provided for the winning team and best player.

Thanks to everyone who came to the OCPF bowling on Friday. It was a really good night, though my bowling left more than a little to be desired!! I did beat Ben in one game though so I'm  clinging on to that bit of glory!!!

There were 11 of us in the end, and as I was a bit drunk by the end of the night I'm not quite sure, but I think the people who finished with the best average scores were Nicki and Jo, with top scorers being Will and John? Well done - you were all much better than me wink

That is true i didn't win a game but this is the first time for a long time I have not hit 150 with house balls - had to be the bear as it was flowing well...... still 128,129,128 consistant !
