KEYS GET THE JOB DON!

Please note the intentional spelling above. It isn't a Beefyism biggrin

Cross Keys 7 - 6 Donnington Social Club

The Keys showed their resilience last night, coming from 4-1 down to sneak a victory in the final frame. Nice one, lads!

Crown House B 5 - 6 Rileys E

Our first loss of the season! And our first 2-1 match of the season! Not in our favour though unfortunately....

Emma Penny-Larter 0 - 2 Adam Squires
Tom Gaughan 1 - 2 Liam Durham
Potter 2 - 0 Tony Durham
Nicki Kinsey 2 - 0 Rob Wilmer
Ash Penny-Larter 0 - 2 Carl Squires

It was a good match, we had two early potted blacks though! Carl played well in a tactical battle against Ash to grab the win.

No problem, I'll tell you to your face.  You probably don't want the reason spilt all over the forum.

Tom.

we deserved a few more frames than we got 2 b fair had we taken them the result could of gone r way but that is pool if u dont take your chances then the other player will even if they didnt deserve the frames so come on lads pull ourselves 2gether and show that we can compete.

KEYS SLIP TO DEFEAT

Red Lion B 8 - 4 Cross Keys

Oh dear, oh dear.......what happened here, lads?!

This was a strangely lacklustre and subdued performance from the Keys, probably from myself more than anyone. We just couldn't get going last night and didn't deserve to take anything from this game.

We've now got a week's break from the league to sort oursleves out!

S Doyle 2-0 M Hearne
S Clarke 2-1 P Hearne
M Morley 1-2 T Keep
A Schwietzer 2-1 S Keep
R Wheeler 2-0 K Withers

Prince of Wales B 4 - 9 Crown House B

Dave Thomas 1 - 2 Ash P-L
Mal McAllister 2
- 1 Conny Meisenberg
Ricky McAllister 1 - 2 Potter
Mark Stopp 0 - 2 Nicki Kinsey
K Bayliss 0 - 2 Tom Gaugham

Was a good match, Ricky v Potter was very close. And many thanks to the last guy who gave us lots of laughs by being so drunk he fell asleep at the bar, leaving his friends and team-mates to take photos of him in various poses and with various props - including a cowboy hat, pink umbrella, handbag and teddy bear!!

RED LION 9-CROSS KEYS 4
a well deserved spanking. all the games have been close in the past and we have always deserved more frames. we all played quite well and seemed 2 rip the keys apart for the second game in a row. this is the way we need 2 continue 2 have a chance of being up near the top2 show that we can challenge the best.

You're in a dream world if you think the cross keys are the best. biggrin

i have'nt said the crosskeys r the best i dont think i have played against the best yet i want to play against the best and that will happen only if we can  get up into the top flight. the only thing that i have tried to say is by now i think we could of been  unbeaten but our mistakes against the crown house cost us because 3to4 of the frames they won they should of not got a chance but that is pool and we have showed so far that we can bounce back and we have we just got 2 keep playing like we can

Ummmm......why? Beat us by the same score on our table and then you can have the bragging rights.....

PS: It's a tad disrespectful to carry on practicing on another table whilst your opponent is playing his shot(s).........

speaking 4 myself we as a team dont need 2 beat u on your table 2 have  the bragging rights its not about bragging rights im just stateing i think we  have been unlucky in the past against u lot but the last 2 games we have shown what we r capable of and as 4 disrespecful thats a load of bollacks im starting 2 enjoy pool abit more and i  hit 2 balls and then stopped on the practice table  the only thing that is disrespectful  is trying 2 slate people on here or teams like u have done in the past i am just giving a match report and i also respect any player i play  if they are better than me or not
