Please note the county pool team is EXTREMELY keen to talk to anyone who is interested in taking on the management of the Youth pool team for the 2010/11 season onwards.
Tim Crysell has done an excellent job in recent years, but will be standing down in March.
Please pass on the word to anyone who may be interested in the position. You do not necessarily need to be the parent of someone playing in the youth, although of course this is perfectly acceptable.
OCPF has a very strong youth team (And won the region this year!) So please come forward if you would like to help out. It is crucial for Oxford pool that the youth teams continue to thrive, and it provides youngsters with a fantastic opportunity to develop their talent from an early age.
Tim is more than willing to provide some initial assistance with introducing you to the role.

I will not be re-standing as Social Rep at the 2010 AGM
Some fresh social ideas would be good for the county, and I do not have the time to do this as well as being Secretary.
As a last resort, if no one stands I will continue to try and cover the role, but I would much prefer to welcome in some fresh blood, and for someone to devote more time to it than I currently can.

Also, the ladies B team captain is up for election, although it's not a committee position and is just for one year. I'll be sending out details to current players tomorrow, but anyone else interested please contact me.
Likes the Ladies B, its not a comittee position but will carry a squad place, and lasts for one year.
I have had one nomination so far for James Egleston, but if anyone else is interested you have until the AGM to notify me (as I hadn't given you enough warning!) If there is more than 1 person standing then there will be a vote at the AGM.
Mens County Manager - Adam Brown Mens Assistant Manager - Ash Penny-Larter - incumbent Youth Manager - currently vacant - nominations accepted up until day of AGM Ladies Captain - Nicki Hoskins - incumbent Seniors Manager - currently vacant - nominations accepted up until day of AGM Players Representative - Shelly White - incumbent Social Representative - Carrie Francombe
As none of the above position are being contested, the person standing will be automatically elected/re-elected.
Where no nominations have been received to date, then nominations for the vacant positions will be accepted up to 5 minutes prior to the AGM.
In addition we have the following non-committe position up for election: (nominations accepted up until day of AGM) where contested a vote is to take place at the AGM
Nominations received so far:
Mens C Captain: James Egleston Jamie Saczak
Ladies B Captain: Nicki Kinsey is collecting this information, I will update forum once the information is made available to me
Motions:
Motion 1 Proposed by Ash Penny-Larter, Seconded Jaz Venning Where mid season a squad member chooses not to attend more than one county match at which their attendence has been requested, without a valid reason, the committee may exercise the right to exclude that squad member from the squad and all county events for the remainder of the season and further may choose to impose a 1 year ban from future squad membership where appropriate.
Motion 2 Proposed by Jaz Venning, Seconded Ben Scott Two proposals have been received from the Crown House and Rileys for sponsorship in exchange for the county's patronage for the 2010/2011 season. Both proposals will be shared at the AGM, and a vote will be taken. Once the vote is taken the county venue for all matches will be set for the full 2010/11 season.
As this is a critical issue impacting ALL county players, I encourage every squad member to attend the AGM and utilise their vote.
Voting by Proxy
People unable to attend an AGM/EGM may contact the secretary secretary@ocpf.co.uk who will arrange for them to cast their vote prior to the meeting.
Alternatively, non attending members may use a proxy voter. However, proxy voting will only be allowed if the unavailable member notifies the secretary at least 24 hours, less in exception circumstances, before the AGM date and has a valid reason for using a proxy.

Just a concern that if the "above" positions are NOT taken up at the AGM will Oxfordshire still be participating within the region for the forthcoming 2010/2011 season in those two categories ?.

Mens C Captain: James Egleston Jamie Saczak __________________________________________________________
Are there any youth players retained from last season that will now transfer to the mens squad for this coming season due to being too old to represent the Youth?
Yes. I'll publish a full list of retentions tomorrow, although its also available online (but doesn't show which youth will be in mens next year)
I belive the youth coming up includes Jamie, Tom, Luke, Kenny, Yousif and Rhys. 3 of these will however only be available for the first half of the season before going to university. Therefore we will need to take enough people through trials to cover for this.
(Also been notifed that Elliot hooper is retained for youth aswell, and this isn't currently indiated) I'll fix tomorrow.
The committee are keen to carry on both the Youth and Over 40s, but we really need some volunteers. Come on people! We are likely to ensure the youth continues at all costs, somehow.

True - Universities will let anyone in these days.
Sheba might be interested in running the Youth as his son plays for Berkshire...

In addition the the above motions, there will also be some minor amendments to the constitution mainly to encompass the increased number of teams/players in the squad and to introduce the captain positions. These will be read out at the AGM, and a vote for approval will be taken

I spose I'd better highlight that should anyone else want to volunteer for this position before the AGM then they still can and there would then be a vote at the AGM.
But given people haven't been falling over themselves to go for this position, I think Gary's safe

Correct me if I am wrong but County Players didn't get a Team Card did we? Or at least I never got one. The last time I asked I was told that you got a Team Card when you played for a Rileys Team that plays in the sunday, monday or thursday league??
Crown house all day!rileys is expensive unless you play for them!c team spanked a team 18-9 last season in the crown house and there going to deck it out really nice with sky and stuff so peeps know where i be voting!

Its strikes me as a little foolish that you have already made up your mind without hearing what the offers being made are...
There should be a healthy debate on this one at the AGM so make sure you're there to put your views across (and listen to the other side!!)
