Here we are with 7 days to our opening match and apart from a draft Fixture List which excludes the Youth Teams and Senior Team, we're no clearer as to what's going on.
The EBPF website shows Buckinghamshire A in 2 Regions (East/South), Oxfordshire Seniors in 2 Regions(West/South) and the Youths in a combined West/South Region.
The Regional website has nothing updated on it and STILL states that the opening fixture is the 10th.
For our own part, any chance of publishing who's in which team....
And finally, it was mentioned that where teams played each other 3 times, as seems to be the case, to ensure a reasonable degree of fairness, that only one of either the A Team or B Team would play AWAY twice and the other would play at home twice; on the Fixture List it has both the A's & B's Away to Bucks in the 3rd meeting.

I presume you mean squad rather than team because we (as you should well know) have never published a list of who is playing for what team.
As for all the other rubbish, well thats the EBPF for you. Mike Leavens is working in Oxford for the next couple of months and can probably be found on a Thursday night at Rileys. Why not visit him and ask these questions to him?

He he, well said Benny.
I tried thrashing a few things out with Mike last week but didn't really get anywhere. Maybe he's giving the place a wide berth since as I think I may have scared him!!!
There is a much reduced and improved fixture list online now and this should be pretty much final (lol! ) but please note I expect the fixture on 18th Sept to move as this clashes with the Europeans
As far as the youth goes, I believe they are joining two divisions to ensure they have enough matches, but the fixtures are still being confirmed so anything could happen
The seniors as far as I know play in exactly the same region as the mens and ladies.

Whats this GOD getting something wrong
C / D Team players are not allowed to move between the C/D teams therefore EVERYONE who is in the C team Squad has been told has have the D team squad.
That being said they can move up to the A/B teams but not from C to D or vice versa as they are in the same group.

And how does that mean I have got anything wrong? I mearly commented that we have never posted a list of who is playing for what county team anywhere. (other than I suppose the rankings after the matches have taken place!).

Well, I think my point of not being able to run a piss-up in a brewery has been proved with the new fixtures
County was suppose to be played on the 2nd week of a month (agreed a very long time ago) but now it seems to be moving from 1st/2nd week at the start of the season to 3rd/4th week mid season back to 1st/2nd week at the end.
Still no Youth matches, which to me would be the most important ones to sort out, due to parents having to make arrangements and it makes the EBPF look like a shambles; no change there...
I assume the Seniors have to sort their own fixtures out via Help the Aged / Stagecoach / FGW
Finally, if they already knew the date of the Europeans, why put fixtures on that week when the rest of September is apparently free?
I'm not having a go at the OCPF on this, but as you are the link between the Regional Director (whoever that is now) and the EBPF, these issues need to be brought to their attention...

Good, glad to hear it. OCPF have been organised and motivated throughout.
We have brought these issues to their attention repeatedly over the past four weeks. Oxford have been very pro-active regarding the sorting of the fixtures. Everything seems to have been held up so much because of the "last minute" creation of the new region, which doesn't excuse it but is some way of an explanation as there was no one there with the authority to make decisions. Things seem to be improving now the new regional director for our new region has been appointed. Its Karl Nunn.
And as I said I did raise the issues around the delay with Mike Levans too when I had the opportunity.
I would also like to see us revert to the "second weekend on the month" standard (at least people could then "guess" when the fixtures would be when they were late being released!!! However I think this has been gradually deviated from in the last couple of years. However, it has taken so f***ing long to get to the fixtures we now have that I do not wish to argue for further changes. My recommendation is to suck it up for this year and make our arguments early for next year.
