So, with all the runners and riders announced, it's time to predict who's going to win what.......

It's going to be a close call in the Prem, with any one of the Demos, Crown House A and Midget all capable of winning it. I think the Demos might just shade it though. As for the Oracle, I think this is the year that relegation catches up with them after all those 3rd place finishes biggrin

Section One should be a close one as well. Provided that it's the same team, the Crown House B should finish top of the pile in my opinion. It will be a three way battle for second between us, the Boundary House and the Crown House Devils, who seem to have defected from the Oxford League........good move, lads! wink I think it's going to be the same two teams who came up that will be going straight down. I'm sure there will be some upsets on the way but I just can't see any other teams filling the bottom two spots......

All this is only my opinion though.......since when has the Abingdon League ever been predictable? biggrin

God knows........Kev's obviously being a bit lax on the updating front biggrin

If you ask him, i'm sure he'd add you to the mailing list, and then you'd receive all the updates etc.

First Few Fixtures Are:

Sep 11th - TKO Prelim (only one game here its Abingdon Town Fc vs Crown House B )
Sep 18th - TKO 1st Round

Sep 25th - First League Games

8 vs 12
7 vs 9
6 vs 10
5 vs 11
4 vs 1
3 vs 2

Im not listing all of them just the first couple of weeks

Who'd have thought we'd have to play the Boundary House in our first league fixture?! That should be interesting after what happened in our last game against them (when they were Steventon B) wink

TBH i cant really decide who will win the Prem.
i'd like to say Crown House but it was so close last year between us and demos on points (prem & section one), add to that different players will be playing for both crown house and demos no doubt so anything could happen.
We cant rule out Midget C they do have a good side plus with the oracle it will depend on how many players they sign on, will they have a settled side or keep changing it every week?

As for Section one.......

I think its out of both Crown House teams to win it, but as for second place well to me theres 4 contenders, both crown house teams, cross keys and boundary house but that is IMO..... but i will have a guess at the finishing table for section one....

All on website now, new improved site as there were a few bugs within old one...

Not everything is contained within the site as I'm sorting out Winter info packs for Sunday (Crown House's info pack has been delivered), but should be updated shortly

Yes, the Oxford Sunday Pool League is no more, for the time being anyway.

But oddly not due to lack of teams wanting to play.  It's stopped because no-one has come forward to run the league.

Thus it may be resuscitated at some point in the future should the right person put themselves forward.
