Hi

      I,m new to the area which are the best pubs or clubs to find decent tables and good players on a Saturday night ? also are there any local comps held weekly in any pubs ?

Welcome to the forum, Longgun.


Most players tend to head to either Riley's (8 tables, Between Towns Road) or The Crown House Club (6 tables, Crown Street, off of Cowley Road) though I'm not sure how many peeps are there on a Saturday night as I rarely play pool then.  Riley's tend to organise more tournaments than the CHC and they are on Facebook if you want to keep in touch with what's happening.

There's also the Oracle Snooker Club in Abingdon which has 6 tables and does run competitions on occasions.

Oracle have just had 2 new tables added to the 6 already there and ive been told there may be more going in biggrinbiggrin
