The following dates and times have been agreed for the upcoming Blackball county trials
(The dates are consistant with the dates given in the handbook at the beginning of the season)

Please note the addition of a trials for the NEW Under 23s team which is being introduced by EBPF for the 2013/14 season.

17-Mar-13 at 10amLadies County Trials
17-Mar-13 at 12.30pmYouth County Trials
17-Mar-13 at 2.30pmUnder 23 County Trials
24-Mar-13 at 11amMens County Trials
24-Mar-13 at 2pmSeniors County Trials

All trials will take place at our sponsoring venue the Crown House Club. Posters with full information will be available shortly. Please note there will be a nominal £2 per person charge for everyone who wishes to trial. Anyone with outstanding monies owed to OCPF will not be allowed to trial unless their balance is settled in full. A full list of current season players retained from the 2012/13 season will be released after Selsey, in the meantime the season's rankings indicate the current standings.

In addition the AGM & Pre-season squad day will take place on Sunday 14 April

AGM - 11am
Squad Day - From 12pm

Remember this coming Sunday is Ladies, Youth and then Under 23 trials! Please ensure any potential interested parties are aware of this!!

If you are interested in playing county, but are unavailable on the trials date, is there another way to try and get in ?

In short the only way in to the county is through trials or retention from the prior year.

Management are allowed to give a limited number of wildcards, which are approved by the committee. In a circumstance where a strong player was unable to attend trials this might be used - so if there is someone in this category they should ensure management are aware of their predicament. Other factors like previous committment etc might come into the decision. But the use of wildcards is very limited as they can be controversial so I wouldn't bank on this!!

Looks like the forum is officially dead now then.Or perhaps there wasn't any trials this year and it is a massive conspiracy!
