I will be updating this topic regular for those of you who are interested in how the Oxfordshire teams are getting on at Selsey this year.......

Oxfordshire Mens B Team are in Group B along with:

Mersyside

East Yorks

Hampshire

Middlesex

Notts

Cumbria

Mibblesbro

 

Oxfordshire Ladies A1 Team are in Group B along with:

Buckinghamshire

Bristol

Gtr Manchester

Berkshire

Essex

 

I may give youths A1,A2 & A3 results if i find them out.....

Unlucky lads such a great effort winning the first leg 7-2 against top of the group but we then lost our way in the second leg losing 8-1 :0( then losing the last leg 4-3 just didnt happen!!! Onto our last game against notts let go out in style lads...

Well this match ended up being more of a muck about than a serious game both teams were already out so this match wouldnt of mattered.

On a personal note ive enjoyed my 2 seasons at county, last year with the c team where we came so close to winning it but lost in the final & this year with the b team.
I have been very proud to play for oxfordshire county & would just like to say a big thankyou to all my fellow county players who have been on these journeys with me, its been a pleasure!

Selsey update:

Oxfordshires Kevin Mcilroy gets into the seniors final but unfortunatly has to settle for runners up - well done Kevin but unlucky mate.
Oxfordshires Nikki Hoskins gets as far as the semi finals at selsey - unlucky Nikki but well done.
Oxfordshires Ladies A team get into the final at selsey but just didnt get there hands on the winners trophy - really well done ladies maybe next year.
Oxfordshires youth team get to the final at selsey but again oxfordshire just didnt quite do it this year - well done guys good to see oxfords future players getting so far, you should be proud...

All in all very positive for Oxfordshire county pool & getting stronger as a county all the time.

Sorry, just need to correct a couple of the facts here

Oxford Ladies A got to the semi finals, where they were then beaten by Hampshire (who went on to narrowly lose to Staffs in the final)
Nicki got to the quarter finals on the ladies sixteen after beating me 3-2 in the last 16.

Yep Kev did awesome, got runners-up in the seniors singles, losing 4-2 in the final
The Youth A1 did amazingly well, beating Notts in the semi to make the final for only the second time in Oxfordshire's history. They unfortunately were then beaten by Warwickshire
