The squad as it currently stands (in no particular order) is:
John Kinsey ('A' Team Captain) Ash Fletcher ('B' Team Captain) Kevin Mcllroy Marcus Guise Keith Hollis Pete Maconochie Lee Brown-John Jamey Street Keith Taylor Ben Scott Mark Trafford Ash Penny-Larter Pete Timms Lee Challis Max Emery Julian Wood Matthew Challen Graham Hornblow Jez Thompson Kenny Saunders
Total = 20 to give two teams of 9 plus 1 reserve each.
Final 'A' and 'B' team places have yet to be finalised completely - though I'm sure that most of it can be sussed out.
Yes mate. The eliminator between Kenny Saunders, Jamie King, Richard Lamburn and myself went the way of Kenny and myself. It's what you would not doubt describe as 'limping over the line!'
I was being slightly sarcastic, but thanks anyway!! What is the deal with scoring points at the Nationals? Does it have an effect on the squad selection the following season? If not I might ask for my £50 back! (only kidding!)
The point scoring is exactly the same as during the regular season.

I could of swarn i posted this but obviously i didn't ... going mad.
Previous Rule: Score 30 points (or team equivalent) in the qualifying season
New Rule: To be a retained player you must satisfy any one of the following points: 1) Score 30 points (or team equivalent) in the qualifying season (Based on 8 Fixtures), 2) Score 18 or more points at national finals AND have a win percentage of 55% or over 3) Reach the quarter finals or better at the national singles event.
Any youth satisfying the above criteria for his/her youth side in their FINAL year as a youth will automatically qualify for men’s squad the following year.
So far we have 8 qualified players for next season (7 men + Kieren Doherty who qualified through the youth setup).
In answer to your question about squad selection (I am assuming you mean whether someone is in the A's or B's next year, appologies if not) then yes it does matter. Its not easy but everything is taken into account when deciding the opening seasons squads.

That can only be a good thing for the team surely?
It depends on their attitude. (i.e. whether they want and enjoy playing county)
My opinion has always been to use/pick a player who gives 100% rather than somebody who HAS to turn up, and just goes through the motions, don’t you agree ?.
I think sometimes these rulings, (that are made up at the top table so to speak) could well work against the individual county.

Thought I might get a bite out of you on that Malc!! too easy!! NOT A PROBLEM LEE
What is the criteria for being retained at international level in EUKPF then? I know that EPA (new) is basically the top 9 players are retained. SAME AS!! (I did it for 9 seasons) but we had a bigger squad then, and trialed for 9 extra places, so it was a bit harder to keep in the top 9, oh I will have to dig out where I finished each season, (just for YOU) but I DO know that those 9 seasons I didn’t finish out of the top 5, BUT OF CAUSE THERE WASN’T ANY GOOD PLAYERS THEN.
Does that mean that Jimmy wont be playing county this year then? I WOULDN’T HAVE THOUGHT SO.
"Committed" team of players. SEE MY OTHER POST ON THIS COMMITMENT.
Nothing worse that playing most of the season and being dropped to allow an international to play their quota of games. (it happens in EPA too) AGAIN IT’S A RULING THAT HAS COME DOWN FROM TOP LEVEL, AND MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST SOLUTION.

The Pool Shark wrote: I think this might of increased now?? I believe it's now changed to 51% of fixtures - i.e. 5 out of 8. Might be 100% depending on the Captain. You mean the captain had dropped you for matches?
I am looking forward to Selsey though (trying to get back on topic before getting told off!!), will be good to see how other events are organised, and the standard of play.
see you all next season, and wishing ALL the teams a enjoyable, and successful outing, at this years finals ………............................................................………………….. GOOD LUCK!!

Couldn't agree more! The current ruling on Internationals is stupid and doesn't help one bit.
