Just wondering if you guys (and girls Hazel) have any other hobbies or interests apart from playing pool?
Myself, I like to play Badminton twice a week, go to the Gym at least twice a week and Track days in my Evo on a monthly basis. Oh and I'm just in the process of buying a 2 decent Mountain bikes for me and my eldest son (9) for a few 'Off Roading' jaunts during the summer months.
Well that's a perfect link for me! Having been part of the rowing world for just about 20 years I've trained and raced on just about every river in the country!
Am currently coaching Exeter College Women's First Eight as well as keeping a couple of committee seats warm at Wallingford Rowing Club, home of several international athletes as well as a large general club membership.
Would still be rowing were it not for my semi-broken back!

Well I never!
You must be pretty darn fit as Rowing is a really tuff sport. Tell me, does coaching the Womens team have any perks ?
Ahh the old back pain chestnut, you've been spending too much time with Lewis

Not sure about the female rowers, but coaching the female varsity pool squad certainly has it's benefits. Just ask JFK!
I used to be quite big on mountain biking, Isty. Gave it up a few years ago, hence the ever expanding gut! Now I spend my days slaving over the computer keeping you website and forum users happy!

Pahh, that's just a poor excuse for being a lazy barsteward
I think you'll find the obligatory gut comes hand in hand with the drinking / playing pool and doing sod all else.... time to oil that Bike chain me thinks
LOL @ JFK comment, is he going through the whole team? now there's a completely new hobby

Well I used to be fit but not any more. Perks from coaching women? Of course not! I respect my girlies.
online poker is a good pastime, taking money off of stupid people who dont know how to play, that, snooker, i used to be good at football and the obvious beer swilling! (its not just mings pool techniques rubbing off on us on sundays)
I enjoy a few rounds of golf (only in the fine weather mind!!). Still trying to reach the magic "single figure handicap"!! Not far off, hopefully this year!
Windsurfing is the other hobby of mine. A pretty good way of keeping trim in the summer. Uses a lot of stomach and back muscles. Usually some good scenery on the beaches too!!
Used to play a lot of football, but my right knee had other ideas!!
Ice Hockey is the best game ever, anyone else ever played before ?
As Ramrod said, poker is a very big growing "sport" and has the largest payout for any "sport" for the world championship. Last year the winner got $7.5m would love to enter, but the entry fee is $10,000 !!!
