I'm taking 2 single women to Colours on Friday night. I'm happy to play pool but if there's any single men out there (and I know there's loads) please come along.

The main reason I was going is because an old friend I used to work with at Sainsburys (where I learnt to play pool) contacted me last week after not seeing her for about 20 years. She has been divorced for a year and is ready to go back on the open market, but it's her birthday on Friday and her uncle is now taking her out for a meal so we'll have to have this night out when I'm back from the WEPF World Championships in over 2 weeks time. Sorry to disappoint all you lads.
I'll keep you posted though.

I went to Colours Friday Night and had a nightmare...


Ming tore strips off my ability to not play and especially my new que (just spent all my birthday money on it and it was the one thing I thought I did have right) I got all upset (at hearing the truth) and started to cry... How weak is that!!!... ended up leaving colours... don't think I'm cut out for this Pool you gotta be a bit tuffer skinned... cried so much on the bus home i even missed me bus stop...On hind sight I should have read this thread prior to going and met with you Hazel... C'est La Vie...

Men always have to dis cues , its a bit like cars...they have to say something smart arse or they feel inadequate.


As for getting upset...don't get upset, practise, get good and then stuff em!!

And grow a thicker skin... maybe i will get more confidence when i win a game because the other team did show up!... practice does seem to be the key... and thanxs keith... you just reminded me that no matter how good women players get men will always be there with the jokes... xxx
