I play loads of pool but hate smoke, anyone know of a pub or place that has a reasonable pool table and is also non smoking?? I don't know of anywhere? I am in witney area so hopefully there is somewhere?
A1 pool club off cowley road, central oxford is a possiblility. It is a smoking club, but has 3 tables in main room, and one in the back room. Back room is rarely used on normal nights, and owner Annie would probably have no problem with keeping it non-smoking for you if quiet. It's not likely to be smokey anyway. The tables are very good quality (summer league singles held there this year). If you wanted to call and ask about this number is
01865 244300 after 6.30. Not open Wednesdays. Ask for Annie.

Yep the only problem is the beer is often warm so you might want to bring a portable cooler with you !

If i'm driving to cowley i dont think i'll be drinking much anyway beefy lol. thanks for that minx, it seems more places are becoming non smoking now anyway, like the court inn and red lion witney are both non smoking now, which is cool but not for smokers. although neither hve tables, mind the red lion used to have one, haven't in there since it reopened so dont know if it has a table now, hopefully it has a good table now lol.
