Good luck in it then Jimmy but don't get too excited and lose your pool games. lol
I finished 55th out of 367 so didn't quite make the money (top 40) but enjoyed the tourney.

Steve/Ben  etc,  if you check the sunpoker main lobby you will see that myself and Tom hav qualified for sunday's gold cup series of poker main event where the buy in alone is £1,050  and the prize pool is a guaranteed £225,000  with an estimated 80 players, winner recieving a guaranteed £60,000

So  i  might have to play first to this sunday and leave Hazel,  except this tournament is something to get excited about!!!wink

Well Done, But looks like you will have to miss pool that day, 3.00pm start and 10,000 Chip start, looks like it will be a long poker game. Good Luck.

There goes the county singles comp as well in that case if you have to leave by 3pm or there again Ming could have your game on first, second, third till you get knocked out becuase I am sure your mind will be elsewhere.

All the best for the comp though. How much did the satelite comp cost you that gave you your free ticket to the main event so to put it ?

£55

38  players playing for 2 seats,   with 3 left was horrible  as 3rd  got diddly squat,  will still be at county singles,  Tom will be in the hot-seat  to  bully around for a decent chip stack then ill come in and do the tightening up  (is the plan)  towards the end of a tourney is great fun as you can play on other people's nervousness etc  and dealing with large sums of money can make your bum twitch a bit!!  you have to have some serious  balls to win a tourney..........and this one should be a real test  and  a nice warm up for the carribean PC in november.

Like any gambler quick to point out the highs of their gambling career but whats more interesting is the fact you have not given up the day job yet with these sort of returns on a regular basis would have thought you would have !

When I see you on the tele then I will say well done !

perhaps its time to say well done then boofilicious, as earlier today, The Cairns brothers qualified for novembers caribbean poker classic and will be playing in the sun on TV  for 10 days in a 5 star AI hotel including flights, transfers, buy-in to the event $2500 spending money and lots more, non believers may check the lobby although im sure Ben and steve will vouch for this, and we still havent even played this weekends big tourney yet!!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I regret to say that, i was not at the controls yesterday and had to watch my brother go on a giant tilting session in the 225k as a result of some terrible mis-fortune on another tournament, his game was fine for 5 hours, steadily building a lovely chipstack before he did the Cairns thing and lost his head, it was my biggest fear that he would do that, as he is quite famous for letting other ppl rattle him, but from another pc it was a bit difficult for me to do anything about it, i was due to step into the hotseat after 10pm for the 2nd half, but it was not to be, as the little t w a t lost his cool and with it our chances of the £67,000 1st prize, I am still furious!!  I lost a lot of respect for him as a player yesterday as he has proved he cannot sit through the bad patches, he is an awesome player, and everyone occasionally goes on tilt, however to go on tilt in a tournament of this nature is simply unforgivable.

needles to say i received an email from sunpoker today and had some apologising to do for his use of language etc which was embarrasing to say the least! and apologies to you steve if you were looking forward to watching some good poker,   76th out of 197 is utterly disgraceful  and painful when you go out un-necessarily

Im playing a live event at the broadway casino in birmingham on sat Hazel,  ill put a beer in for you for when you gobiggrin

Glad to hear that was not you, you should give him a good telling off for the thing's he was saying, I was really surprised he did not get chucked out, I know a lot of places would off. Good luck Sat and catch you soon.

Getting fed up with Sunpoker, I have now been knocked out 5 times in a row with paired J's, low stacked, gone all in and every time been called by Paired A's by a player 3 seats away. Taking the pee a bit, I think. furious.giffurious.giffurious.gif

Surely if you disconnected him he would simply had to fold the hand and you could have taken over the controls and saved the day when rejoining the next hand.

Where is it being shown ?

Good luck in this one don't lose your cool though. How much can you win and who will you be playing against. I don't know many of the top players becuase I only see the ones on Sky like Devilfish etc

Got there in the end, Sunpoker owed me the win I had last Night, Got all money back plus extra that I had lost the last couple of days, because of Jacks.
Funny thing is that I took 3 players out at different time's with Ace's because they went all in with Jacks. Couldn't stop Laughing.

Well done Millhouse, That was a good win.

You haven't seen me rattled Beefy, youv'e seen me being frustrated, it takes a lot to fully rattle me, but like Tom, the consequences are not always pretty.

p.s Dave 'Devil fish' Ulliiott  is terrible, very weak player and too easily spooked.
