Beefy and the case of the Missing County Shirts!

BeefMeister!!!

Imagine my shock when I turned up at Rileys on sunday for my first county pool match of the season, when I was told that there were no new team shirts ready for the new players!

And, as I was wearing a collarless shirt, as I do not possess any form of shirt with a collar, that I wouldn't be eligible to play because of this!

Nope, apparently the Beefy one had them and he was on, or in transit, from his hols stateside... Hmm, a dilemma ensued...

Which was resolved by a quick trip to Matalan, (Cheers Ben!), and an outlay of a fiver for a navy blue collared shirt for pool use thereof.

This fiver was taken from the 12 quid I had set aside for my team colours...

But don't worry Beefy... I kept the receipt which you can have! Cash refund is fine or just deduct it from the price of my county shirt!

John the managers were aware there would be no shirts as I did not have all the information to get them with before I went away (unless you count the Friday before I went) and I had more important things to worry about than getting shirts organised that day. I have just returned from Holiday after 2 weeks which meant I had no way to pick them up anyway ! so there is really no excuse for saying you did not know about it in advance.

Besides what happened to your old one you could have worn that for one game !

Tut, Tut... No commitment

so there is really no excuse for saying you did not know about it in advance.

What excuses? Yeah I knew we had a county game, thats why I was 1st one there! And after having names taken at the mini trial (don't go there...) was told they'd be ready for my first match, after all there was about a month between the 2 points in time here...

Besides what happened to your old one you could have worn that for one game !


Can you honestly say you know where a t-shirt you last wore 3 years ago is now!?
ie. Bottom drawer, back of the wardrobe, forensics, exhibit a...
C'mon...
As I said... Cash is fine, or county shirt for 7 quid...

It's just been brought to my attention that the Beefy one is merely an innocent dupe in this affair of the missing shirts...

It seems that I was the only one (?) not knowing about the shirt situation for last weeks county fixture...

I hereby print a full and unmitigating public apology to Mr Keith Harris, sorry, Hollis in respect of this matter!

Oh Crap, Just as it was getting good too... ah well, must try harder... ahem...

Like I said before I simply get the shirts from Information I am given and to be exact I believe the trials were on the 3rd June one week before I went away and countless e-mails went round as I was trying to tie up all loose ends regarding shirts so the trip was the last one and simply ran out of time before I went away.

I have sent an e-mail to the printers and am waiting for a reply regards delivery.

So JC your stiring has run out and an apology if thats what it is meant to be has been posted.

I can assure you that I do wear the aforementioned items!

And they're made from the same silica and nomex materials the space shuttle uses in the heat shield tiling, safe to up to 2300 degrees C!

C'mon, they have to be... You think that quantity of Cider and Chilli is stable!?

With a bit of luck I will get them back this week as Artisans e-mail was down and when I spoke to him late last week he didn't have the list but he does now.

I did ask if I could get them back this week and he said should be ok but will confrim later this week when I have them.

So now you can stop posting on here. why didn't you phone me or ask me my e-mail and phone numbers are on the county web page so there no need for this on here.

As crystal for me mate, as it was all along...

However IF you read my post properly, you would have seen and registered the word IF...

Which would have lead to the natural assumption that IF you can't confirm delivery then we will carry on waiting...
