And I'll have Ł10 on Jamey and Adam to win it on 16-1.
You really have no idea of odds do you ! I quoted the statistical chances which are equal to each person irresepctive of ability ! If you take ability into account the odds change which is why a bookie give lower odds on some than others and if you work out the expected return its always slightly less than 1 - their cut like a casino. at roulette add back to 36 including your stake yet there are 37 on the wheel there margin in the long run.....

Bit touchy barney!! It wouldn't be 16/1 anyway it would be 15/1, because there is one chance of an event happening, i.e jamie winning it, and 15 chances that he won't, that is obviously without taking into account abillity! The same applies with the roulette wheel beefy 36 chances your number won't come in and one that it will hence 36/1
I think you need to resit your maths exams. If you have 16 people all with a 1 in 15 chance of winning then that leaves the possibility that no-one will win (the 16th possible outcome) which can't happen.
All things being equal, each of the 16 players has a 1 in 16 chance of winning.
But as things are not equal, if Beefy was offering odds of 16-1 for Jamey to win then I'd take it! Most would be tempted at 2-1.

I never said that it was a 1 in 15 chance. What I said was there was one chance that anyone could win it and 15 chances that the same player wouldn't win, thus there are 16 possible outcomes and therefore a 1 in 16 chance of a player winning it. Therefore the odds of a player winning it is 15/1. Beffy never offered 16/1 he said that a player had a 1/16 chance of winning which is equivalent to 15/1, so I really don't need to resit my maths exams barney! My bad on the roulette wheel bottler!
