Thanks alot James. :) You were unlucky in the second frame, was a very wel taken dish until you unfortunately snookered yourself on the black, if that would have gone in then the game could have swung any way.
Andrew Gee & Peter De-Banks (Riley's Snooker Club) 4
Malc Lewis & Nathan Ball (Osney Arms/Crown House Club) 5
some game this was
It was a good game, When the young guns were 4-2 up and with 1 yellow left on the table, A good comeback was needed and got, Well played Malc & Nathan, Unlucky Peter & Andrew

Steve and it was mainly due to our nearly 80 years of experience that pulled us through lol

Malc Lewis & Nathan Ball (Osney Arms/Crown House Club "A") 6
Julian Wood & Jamie Saczak (The Tandem - Kennington) 2
Not a great free flowing final although the 8 frames only took about hour and a half.
The score could have been a lot closer but then it could have also have been 6-0 to us. (the defending champions)
Just for the records that's our (Nathan and me) 4th Oxford Sunday DOUBLES title in a row, our 7th in total, my 10th in the 14 seasons that this league took over from the Oxford St Clements Pool League back in 1995. (where I also won 7 Doubles titles so 17 in all and that's just on a Sunday lol)

Well played guys you fully deserved your win last night.
Had me and Julian not have bottled our chances then the score could quite easily have been 6 - 2 to us, i thought we matched your tactical game last night. We just didnt take our chances and you capitalised from our mistakes.

The draw for the first round will be made Sunday 23rd November at the Osney Arms drawn by members of the Folly Bridge team.
Remaining teams (in no particulart order):
Kieran Doherty & Shaun Taylor (Crown House A) Kevin Johnson & James Thorpe (EOCC) Adam Williams & Luke Bullivant (NOCC) Aiden Williams & Adam Richardson (NOCC) Tom Williams & Jamey Street (Osney Arms) Ash Penny-Larter & Rhys Freemire (Crown House A) John Lucin & Andy Martin (EOCC) Malc Lewis & Nathan Ball (Osney Arms) Adam Brown & Rob Gaunt (Osney Arms) Martin Armson & Kenny Saunders (Catherine Wheel B) Jamie Armson & Ryan Armson (Catherine Wheel B) Peter de Banks & Andrew Gee (Rileys C) Jamie Power & Anthony Stopp (Rileys Red Devils) Liam Mosquera & Aaron Lewis (Catherine Wheel B) Pete Timms & Graham Hornblow (Rileys C) Charlie Guinan & Dave Aitken (Folly Bridge)
Tom Williams & Jamey Street (Osney Arms) 6 v Malcolm Lewis & Nathan Ball (Osney Arms) 2
Tom and Jamey were masterful in their wonderfully orchestrated execution of the reigning champions of the Sunday Doubles for the last four years. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tom & Jamey win this event for the next fourteen or fifteen years. This was a lesson in total pool, shame no-one saw it. Ah but we have our memories.
The draw for the first round of the Doubles KO has been made:
Billy Young & Tom Gaughan v Terry Haines & Damien English Lee Trinder & Lee McAllister v Shane Whalley & Glenn Johnson Simon Anderson & Jamie Power v Liam Mosquera Adam Mosquera Ravi Sundar & Shavi Sundar v Ady Bowden & Andy Martin Jason Buck & Lewis Buck v Ash Penny-Larter & Rhys Freemire Steven Bradbury & Andy Clare v Shaun Taylor & Richard Lamburn Jamey Street & James Thorpe v Andrew Gee & Daniel Durham Charlie Guinan & Dave Aitken v Tom Williams & Adam Brown
To be played on 31st January 2010 - Best of Five.

It's hard to pick a tie-of-the-round but I guess you'd go for the potential Jamey Street & James Thorpe v Andrew Gee & Dan Durham, although whoever Jason & Lewis Buck meet out of Ash & Rhys or Matty & Anthony should also be a good match.

if dan and andrew keep playing like they did against malcolm and nathan i think they could go quite far in the competition.
