Hendry off to a great start 7-1 up, But what a massive Kick on the 13th red in the 4th frame which made him have to chase postion and end up missing the 15th red for a 147. He even went for a 147 later but made a mistake after I think 7 reds.

Liang is performing well against Ronnie, sizeable breaks and drew the session at 4 - 4. Upset on the cards maybne if he continues to play that well but still think Ronnie is to good for him and will win 13 - 8/9

Ronnie has got a match on his hands, If Liang keeps going for shots and getting away with it, then it could be a match ronnie loses. It is a type of match over the years he has lost because of his mind. In the last frame Ronnie was talking to himself, If all is not right in the Ronnie mind, Then the shock might happen

They just said the odds are 7/4, It was 200/1 at start.
What a 24 hours of snooker, Great stuff.
Ronnie makes 147
Hendry makes 112 missed final red after massive kick on 13th red
Ebdon made a 143
Ebdon makes 113 Missed final Black frame 14 v Carter
Carter makes 147 Frame 15 and nice shot to open final 2 reds

Not really as your only betting on ANOTHER maximum not 3 but at the start the odds would have been rediculous !

Another coincidence is that Ronnie and Mark Williams have won the titles on two ocassions and both after the other one.

If Ronnie wins Williams got to be worth a bet next year !

Well just as it looked like we might have a close Semi Final Ronnie slams in 8 frames in the row to give Hendry his first Whitewash session at the crucible,
To take it from 4-4 to 12-4. Now those people that paid for tickets to the 4th session, might not see any Snooker.

The sad thing for me as a snooker fan who wanted to see a close match, Hendry could of been 6-2 up yesterday but missed too many chances when he had a great chance and then missed early chances today, Before Ronnie started hitting his best stride, Breaks of 87 133 and 135, But Hendry still had chances in the last frames, That is now 11 frames won in a row as Hendry was 4-1 up.

I predicted that ronnie would forge ahead in this session.

Didn't think he'd win all 8 though. If you look at the way he's played in all the first seesions of matches this week he hasn't done well. Then came out and kicked everyones ass's in the 2nd and third sessions.

I expect he'll get a couple more 147s before the end of the tournament.....

Surely as a snooker fan you would want to watch snooker being played at the highest level, and O'Sullivan was in a devastating form. I'd rather watch consitent high breaks being knocked in.

But the Mistakes, Made Ronnie Look better, Both big breaks were started with a red from just above the black spot, Not a great long pot,  Because of a poor shot by Hendry, in 5 of the frames Hendry had very good chances, So with Hendry having chances you couldn't say Ronnie is playing at his highest level, The good thing for O'Sullivan fans is that he hasn't hit top form yet and he is 12-4 up.

Absolutely ! I would take big breaks any day over a boring tactical frame like Ebdon V Dott for example...

At least we will have a potter in the final either way iwht Ronnie playing Hendry !

Roll on sunday for the final.... The first session will probably finish before the county game does biggrin

Century break after century break would soon become boring though, too.

It's ALL aspects of the game that make it so entertaining for me. Great snookers, great snooker escapes, great long pots, and of course great break building.

However, Ebdon vs Dott is an extreme example, and of course I'd rather watch Ronnie vs Robertson or similar!

That last Session was better then the session this morning. The first 5 frames was top stuff, Ronnie cleared up well to take him to needing 1 more, but in that frame Ronnie had 2 massive fluke's to help him get to 16-6 and the last frame was a bit messy.
But Ronnie seems to be finding top gear and if he has the roll of ball on his side in the final like those last 2 frames then the final might also be over early.

As the last semi starts at 12-12 the odds to win outright is:

Ronnie 1/7
Ali Carter 13/2
Joe Perry 9/1

i agree with poolshark, id rather watch a frame where it begins with quality safety play and then gradually builds up to long pots and break building.
