A tough match that saw us narrowly win the first leg after being 4 - 2 down before winning the final 3 frames to go 5 - 4 up. Simlar fortunes in the second leg as we lost 5 - 4 from being 4 - 2 down once again.

Score level going into the final leg 9 - 9

The tension builds as it goes 10 each then 11 each.

Then finally Oxford put a run of frames together after going 13 - 11 up needing one to play. Ben looked in trouble whilst I was playing the other table against the same opponent as the second leg. A true Beefy frame of slow tactical play letting my opponent pot his balls to present the lovely position of snookering at will. I secured the vital frame closely followed by Ben who turned his around then John Street won his for a 3/3 in rapid time. Opponent broke and he dished them up - nice frame to ref !

I heard JFK mention to the opposition he is doing the region results now and I thought I heard him mention a new website so if this is true JFK can you post the link for all of us please.

Yes, after several days of tedius crap I've managed to compile the latest tables, rankings and produce a southern region website (of kind) - temporarily inside our own ocpf site.

Sorry John but I was stood right next to you when you said to Ash and their Captian - "You might as well give me those (scoresheets) as I've taken over the results from Nicki Smith" so I figured that as you were so good at updating our stats that the regiona ones would be equally as good.

No use of them making ac point the B2 is it not a Developent team and YOU and only YOU do NOT pick any DEVELOPENT PLAYERS not ASH. While we on nat piont one thing that got you re elected was i quote. (I WILL NOT PLAY MYSELF),Now look at the stats i think it shows you have missed one match so stop; picking on the poeple you are meant to be using.Do not come back on here saying do not put things like this on here.Because YOU are making my job with the boys very very hard to jusity having the B2 team.
Sorry about his ben but this guy needs taking aside and teeling what it is all about. I think its the Future but i'm i the only one who thinks this, If so, at the Nationals will be my last with the Youth team.I may even consider doing somthing in world rules

I Can answer that as long as the stats are up to date apart from Andrew and Yousif who quilfied, No ladies and Peter Debanks 1 Frame, Adam Poole 1 Frame, and Jamie Saczak, 1 Frame. furious

Ouch. Did i hit a nerve?

Steve im not p***ed off because i am not being played, that's just selfish. Im p***ed off that there are NO youth team players (or ladies players) being asked (bar Andrew and Yousif who deserve to be there because they qualified.)

What Hollis has just put sums it up really. 5 A team players split across the two sides. Now im ok with the B1 fielding half an A team, becuase the point of their team is not to field DEVELOPING players, but to field a decent, strong Oxford team.

That is not the case with your team. You know damn well who you should be selecting. And now i could not give a **** if you pick me for the rest of the season.

You are too scared of fielding a "YOUNG" team and losing, hence why you play the f***king SUPERSTARS of Oxford Pool.

Jamie I know your upset and could sense that yesterday but the correct person to speak to is Shelley if you feel your respective manager is not doing their job correctly.

We have lost one manager already because people are to quick to post damming statements on here rather than use the proper channels to air their issues.

Tim has made some valid points that no doubt will be discussed in the appropriate forum. Everyone wants the B2 team to succeed as its the future way to bridge the gap between the youth set up and mens squad. That is after all why it was introduced last season.

Tim your not the only one trust me I too want that system to work as it allows people to play more games and gain experience. We have lost players from the youth in the past becuase of the gap. Previously they had one chance to move automatically from the youth to the mens and then one bad season meant we would lose them to the wilderness of the trials system for future years.

I also understand why there where so many A team players in the two sides this week as they need the matches as they have 10 games and the B section has 16 so they will inevitably be selected for matches and they are likely to be the ones where the A team are not playing.

Beffy this was a rearranged match of which i was asked if some of the Youth would be able to play.I even said yes to that even though it was Youth pool series day. Give me a list of who you want! then nothing not a thing not even an e-mail saying now not needed.so i cannot see why i bother with it all.

Welcome to Oxfordshire County Pool Ash. With a couple of kids to your name you should be used to looking after children; and i'm not talking about the Youth Team....

Fortunately i'm in negotiations with Procter & Gamble to see if we can get a free supply of Pampers for next season, just have to use old style nappies in the mean time.

As per usual, people with greviences chose to air their views on here rather than use the proper channels. This leads to what was said by whom to be considered as fact when it's complete fiction, altered to the support position of whoever's telling the story.

The forum should be used for passing information and for a bit of banter. Yes we freedom of speech but with that comes responsibility not to make accusations of wrong doing without good reason.

If you've an issue regarding County matters you approach the relevant people; (1) relevant manager (2) Players Reprentative and (3) secretary

So tell me which of these people you've approached with a grevience, before spouting off on here. As most greviences cannot be addressed immediately, it's hardly fair to abuse County officials before they have chance to explain or remedy any incorrect or unfair decisions they may, or may not have made. You're not judge, jury and excutioner ...

By not following the proper procedure and making wild accusations (unsubstantiated at present) your convicting Steve of wrong doing without any investigation having taken place (similar to the previous wrong accusations directed at John of bans etc over the Selsey issue)

B2 Manager

To select, organise and administer B2 team in conjunction with the duties of the other managers

To be a link to, and active director of Youth development alongside the Youth Team Manager

Secondly the B2 Team was short or there woyld not have been so many A team members playing and when the B2 are short it is a Devlopment squad for the Youth to step in and gain exprence playing in the mens league.This has not been happening except in 3 whole frames
