Surely the question is why are there no players for the C's anymore?

dont get me wrong the youth team are loving it, and putting in some cracking performances (as you can tell from big boss mans post)

Have they stopped playing because they dont think they can get to Selsey, or because the match is far away, or are they all genuinely "busy"?

Would be interesting to see the squad picked if they scrape into nationals.

meh.

I always got told if you ask Why, you know the answer.

SLIM, after all that going on about the forum you quickly post 2 comments, LOL, Welcome Kenny Saunders to world of Oxford Pool.

But I agree with Colzy you guys are getting some great scores, playing 2 matches at once must of been hard & getting 5/6 so well done to all.

I just hope this season won't limit chances in the future, for others

Mens B1 18 - 9 Bristol

Well an interesting match for the B's as the mens A fixture was cancelled giving Bristol the option of fielding a stronger team ????? certianly whispers on the day would suggest they had a few A team players in the side but it could just be that some of the B team played in the A side last time when the B fixture was cancelled back in the summer.

3/3

Keiron, Shaun

2/3

Keith, Ben, Tom, Jez, Ash PL,

1/3

Johny C
Dave Crawford

JUST WONDERING WHOS PLAYING FOR THE B2S THIS WEEK? AS THE YOUTHS ARE AWAY. MAYBE THE B1S SHOULD SWITCH WITH B2S AS THEY HAVE QUALIFIED AND THEN YOUTHS COULD PLAY B1S ALONG WITH KENNY AND WILL AND THE USUAL B1S PLAY B2S JUST AN IDEA

We could do that.......

Or we could win the region and get seeded number 1 and have an easier group to get out of at Selsey!

Oh, and Boinky you might want to press the third key up on the left hand side of the keyboard which has 'Caps Lock' handilly written on it.

boinkster  thats a rubbish idea     that wld b like saying the a team might not make nationals so   well put some into the b team  for more chance of winning   which would be very wrong.

Ladies calm down i said it was a idea surely its more important having two teams at Selsey than one and you b1s are so good it wont matter which group you get and plus the original b2s would win in Wiltshire anyway so SUCK ON THAT!!!!!

Just because we're good, doesn't mean we're unbeatable. We will need all the help we can get at nationals.

It would be very nice if both b's and c's qualified. Although, it would only really serve to give the youth team extra frames, as i'm sure it will be hard enough to find 9 suitable players for the b team let alone the c team too.

Youth game has been cancelled this Sunday as im sure most people now know.

So if any teams want to steal any youth players ... then we are there if needed. =]

Was asked to help Kenny today with this match as the youth match was cancelled

WOW What a match !!

We lose first set 6-3 and at one stage were 10-4 down and really on the back foot

But after winning the second set 5-4 then really pushing for the line win the last set 7-2 and win some how we still do not know how 15-12 winners

Two break dishes when it was needed one by Jamie Saczak and the other followed from Will Cooper.

2/3
Jamie Saczak
Craig Coles
Will Cooper
Kenny Saunders
Andrew Gee
Yousif Shahab
single frames but just as important for Rhys Freemire & Mike Gibson & Kenny Broster

Well played too all of you.

Shouldn't we claim the match due to the late notice of cancelling Sunday's match?

I can't make the 18th January 2009 so now miss the opportunity to get enough points for automatic retention.

Sometimes things just happen. Apparently a few went to the venue on saturday only to find it was shut down with no warning. Hardly their fault. Not sure why but I'm sure we'll find out.

Their previous 2 venues were both shut down with no warning a couple of months ago when the banks foreclosed on their owners - something I'm sure we'll see more off.

Just hold back with the knives!! I know people made arrangements but that's life!! If Rileys continue their financial decline we may end up in the same boat one day!!

Given the A's have 4 places from 6 then the b's should have 6 out of 9 to maintain the 2/3 ratio biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

If this is the case then there is a real chance of getting both B teams there although yesterdays result wasn't quite the result required.

Berks C 14 - 13 Oxford B

5 players with 2 biggrinbiggrincry Shaun, Rhys, Keith
3 players with 1 biggrincrycry Ben, Andy G
I player with a duck crycrycry Pete De Banks

The other players were Nick, John and Ash P L and I can't remember which ones got 2 and who got 1 sorry.

Well looks like the B's have to win their remaining two matches if they want this trophy

Pasted from the southern home site on this forum

Trophies for Regional Winners.

Two years ago it was agreed for there to be a permanent, engraved trophy for teams that win their sections and possibly most wins too. I'm currently looking to get these sorted for this year (and back date the engraving as far as possible) to be given out at Nationals.

At least we have the frame difference in our favour so two wins should do it.....

Come on the B's!! You're our best chance of silverware this season!

And a quiet shout for the ladies too, who might still do it, if other results also suit us.  fingers and toes all crossed...
