Yup, my intentions were just to remind people of these upcoming dates to avoid people claiming matches....
Feel free to moan though, it's the least I expect.
A reminder is for someone who already knows about it - when were we told the first time ? Putting it on the web is not a guarantee people know about it.

The lack of draws and league table being posted does seem to have been a problem.
I agree that posting them on the forum and the website should not be seen as the sole acceptable means of distribution. However if you've entered an event and have not seen a draw have you contacted the Secretary to find out?
I've made an effort to inform you so don't have a go as you wouldn't have heard anything otherwise.....
I have to apologise to the rest of my team for spoiling an almost perfect scoreline by losing to the leg end that is mr lakeman. He played well, and to be honest they probably deserved another frame or 2 anyway.

Quite funny, As Dave and James may off deserved frames, don't think I did and I don't think I have ever seen you miss a black like that, But to blow ones trumpet, It was a nice clearance and Black to win that frame
Steve, I remember you calling me last Saturday to say my 3 man team game had been cancelled. Now i can't for the life of me remember why and when it's due to be played.? As you may have noticed i had a fair few to many sherberts.!
This is the draw for the next round of the Three Man due to be played by the 20th April:
Malcolm Lewis, Kevin McIlroy & Jamie Street
Osney Arms
v
John Williams, Aiden Williams & Sid Ponting
North Oxford Con Club
Matt Brocking, Jim Smith and Darren Beecham
Catherine Wheel
v
Ben Scott, Will Cooper & Dave Graham
A1 Pool Hall
Anthony Stopp, Jamie Power and Damien English
Rileys
v
Aaron Lewis, Liam Mosquera &
Crown House Club
Peter DeBanks, Andrew Gee & Nick Green
Rileys
v
Keith Hollis, Ray Sturgess and Mark Trafford
Tandem
Mark Cooper, &
Rileys
v
Chris Gardner, Chris Hambridge & Patrick Ward

Tandem
v
Nathan Ball, Jason Buck & Emma Penny-Larter
Crown House Club

Can anyone explain why this draw is now dated to be played by 22nd June and that an all ladies team have been drawn against the Osney, where have they appeared from (though there's only 7 matches on here)?

I cant old team mate.
14 teams originally = 2 byes understandable
15th team appears = should be 1 bye in the preliminary round
So if my team Osney Arms manages to reach the quarter finals (last 8) we would have played in a competition equivalent to a competition of 32 entries when only 15 teams took part, and then possibly draw a team that hasnt played a match in the competition. (I.e. bye/team not turning up)

nearly every Frame suffered with Blackitis as the first person missed it then the opponent missed and then at the 3 rd attempt winning.
We could have won 5 - 0, lost 5 - 0 (but ended up 4 - 1 up) if players had taken the chances they had been given. still we won 5 - 4 in the final frame after Peter De Banks suffered another bit of blackitis like I did the earlier in the frame after playing a good shot to move it out.
The draw puzzles me to ???????????

Maybe there is a team who have received a bye ? that would then take it to 8 teams left.
The issues are that (1) the matches played last night were suppose to be played by 20th April according to the last draw (2) the Osney have already played North Ox Con Club as per this draw, but now have to play an all ladies team from Crown House. (3) If there was a bye then they should have been shown on the draw sheet and then drawn out with the 7 winners from the 20th April, unless of course the remaining 6 winning teams sre going to be drawn against each other to create the remaining 3 quarter-finals.
The way it's shown at present is that there'll be 7 winners from this round and that the Osney will have played 2 matches to get to the quarter-finals in a competition that had 15 entries when everyone else plays 1 match.
Someone needs to get a grip

I think people are entitled to have a go at you Barney, afterall you're the league Chairman and you stand idley by whilst very little information is forthcoming.

That might be the easiest and best option

A grip of the situation is most definitely something that is needed, I wholeheartedly agree. At the moment I am just as much in the dark as you are but I am making every effort to shed a little light on the situation.

This will be sorted out.
Thank you Barney, perhaps you could advise the others to ask for assistance from more experienced/ex league officials when they have problems, rather than blow all the candles out and run about in the dark

OK, so thats good news in the fact we now know we have 8 teams in the Q/F. Malc, did Emma happen to mention when the draws will be out for the next rounds as by the looks of it, there are a lot of people going on holiday over the next few weeks so some rearranging will need to be done.
