Yup, Section Two matches on free tables at Colours, although between you and your opponent if you want to play at an alternative venue you may do so at your own expense.
Jamie, I'm seeing you next Thursday so bring cash with you then.
Most people have contacted me to sort out paying entry fees, but those who haven't please do so soon otherwise I'll give your place to one of the reserves.
I'm also missing mobile numbers for Keither Hollis and Tom Gaughan.
Plus it's be handy to have everyone's email address too. I've got quite a few but can all just send an email to tom_williams78@hotmail.com so I've got everyone's address? It'll make it easier and cheaper for me to send updates once the league has started.
This now has the instructions for all three sections, please ensure you look at the right file for the section you are in.
The fixtures for Section One is on there as well in the Excel file. I'll add two other Excel files soon. I plan to draw the fixtures for Section Two and Section Three tonight (Thursday 8th Jan).
PS I must stress again that the Singles League is not associated with the Sunday League in any way, it's only that I have access to this website so rather than create a new one I'm using the Sunday League website.
Barney my mobile is in various places on this website.
See county pool section, monday night league contacts to name but a few but to save you looking I will private message it to you.
Keith
And the purpose of this post was....................
Haven't you better stuff to be getting on with, like sortin' bank account out?

Without wanting to complicate matters too much, there has been some discussion between some of the players in Section One regarding how the league table should be produced.
Currently I set it up so that each player wins a point for every frame they win. This means that losing 10-9 is much better than losing 10-0.
A problem with this is that someone could lose every match 10-9 but still win the league as they'd have a very high score.
Do people think it'd be better to record a point for a win with tied places decided by frame difference and then the result between the players?
I'm happy to go with either but it's the players' league not mine so it's upto you.
I'd rather keep all three sections operating the same way so speak now or be happy with whichever system ends up in place.
Plus, let's not have long-winded explanations, it's quite alright just to state your preference (that's for you Beefy, although I fully expect you to ignore it...).
Why not divide the number of shots in each frame by the number of flukes beefy gets per frame, then multiply by the angle the light reflects off his head whilst playing a shot and round down to 0.........
Right then Colzy, May is when justice will be served...
I think I've told you already Tom, but I would much prefer a point per frame, maybe Jamie's right with extra points (I'd say 2) for the win. To point out the other extreme - I think it would be unfair for someone to win one match 10-9 and lose others 10-0 to go above someone consistently getting 9 frames.

Understand what you are saying, but at the end of the day it is all about winning your matches and to (theoretically) have someone winning the league, but losing all of their matches 10-9 would be a joke. I would say 3 points for a win, then results between players, then frame difference.

Your only jealous because the voices only talk to me!
make matches 20 frames, 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
Gives expected mid table players a better chance especially if top players draw............

i agree with kevin, just keep it simple with 3 points a win and 1 point a draw, and if you win 10-4 for example you get a +6 frame difference
just keep it like the league format and i think its the fairest way aswell.
Would you not need 11 frames to win?
As i've said before Nick, the education system has gone downhill since we were at school...

It would then have to be a 20 frame match instead of a race to 10. Hence if you draw 10-10 (incredibly unliklely but all the time possible) you get a point.
This means matches could potentially take twice as long .. (10 - 0) - (10-10)
Firstly I now have all mobile phone numbers so have updated the files available from the website so all sections have instructions, fixtures and contact lists complete. I do intend on handing hard copies of all to every player as well but it is all on the website if you want to see it sooner.
Secondly, another reminder for everyone to get cash to me asap. If you don't pay I'm quite content in bringing in a reserve of which I have a number. I have no problem with kicking someone out if they don't pay promptly.
Thirdly, following discussions with people and reading feedback on the forum and from text messages, I've decided to amend how the league tables are constructed. Players will now receive one point for a win, with frame difference deciding tied places, and then the result between players should the frame difference be the same. We may reach an awkward point if three players tie on points and frame difference and have beaten each other but we'll address that if it happens.
For the sake of consistancy I intend to use this mechanism for all three sections. If anyone has a major problem with this to the extent they don't want to enter let me know, I'll put in a reserve.
I have been trying to hand out hard copies of the contact numbers and fixtures to all players but obviously some people I've not seen recently. If you are able to print off your own copy please let me know by text or email.
Plus don't be backward in coming forward with the entry fee. I've got to pay a desposit on my Caribbean holiday later this year so need the cash.
Adam Brown Nicki Hoskins John Street Malcolm Lewis John Williams Mark Cooper Marcus Guise Paul Carter Steve Jordan Ash Fletcher Nick Mansell Kevin McIlroy Shaun Taylor Jamey Street
Those who have not paid:
Section One: Section Two: Section Three:
Nathan Ball Craig Coles James Watson Kieran Doherty John Kinsey Dave Crawford Tom Weeks Lee Brown-John Andrew Gee Lee Challis Rhys Freemire Ross Gibson Jason Buck Chris Webb Daniel Stockwell Jamie Saczak Peter de Banks Julian Wood Keith Hollis Tom Gaughan Kenny Broster
Please can everyone who hasn't paid pay asap? I've spoken with most of you but there a couple I've not managed to get hold of. If you can't find a date to meet me then let me know and I'll give you account details for a transfer.
Maybe I'm being too nice regarding people paying. I'm quite prepared to bring in one of the six reserves I've got to replace those who are tardy in paying.
This week I will be at the Berkshire House on Wednesday 21st, Osney Arms on Thursday 22nd, Osney Arms and Rileys on Sunday 25th.
The reserves are (in no order):
Ben Scott Chris Hambridge Graham Hornblow Jez Thompson Mark Trafford Tom Williams
