It's been pointed out that some confusion may arise regarding whose responsibility it is to book a table. Essentially it is both players' responsibility.
When you and your opponent contact each other to arrange a date to play your match, one of you should then ring Rileys or Colours to book a table.
There is no "home" player and "away" player.
It really shouldn't be rocket science, just a simple call to either venue. They are both sighted on who is playing in which section.
Adam Brown Nicki Hoskins John Street Malcolm Lewis John Williams Mark Cooper Marcus Guise Paul Carter Steve Jordan Ash Fletcher Nick Mansell Kevin McIlroy Shaun Taylor Jamey Street John Kinsey Lee Brown-John
Those who have not paid:
Section One: Section Two: Section Three:
Nathan Ball Craig Coles James Watson Kieran Doherty Dave Crawford Tom Weeks Andrew Gee Lee Challis Rhys Freemire Ross Gibson Jason Buck Chris Webb Daniel Stockwell Matty Challen Jamie Saczak Peter de Banks Julian Wood Keith Hollis Tom Gaughan Kenny Broster
Those in Section One and Section Two, please note the following:
Kieran Doherty has withdrawn from Section One. John Kinsey has taken his place moving from Section Two. Ben Scott was the first reserve so has moved into Section Two replacing John.
I will amend the files on the website on Monday with correct names and mobile phone numbers.
Maybe tom's decided to run the Singles League at A1 just to piss Jaz off after her rant about setting it up in the 1st place

On the contrary I would be delighted if Tom encouraged his league members to play at A1. It would be nice if Annie got some business to replace that lost from her Singles League being usurped.
In fact that might have been a good olive branch to profer Tom...
The tables are good quality for such matches (and Table Iron now in residence!!)
Thank you Jaz for the offer of an olive branch, makes a change from the cricket bat I was expecting.
Players in the OSPL can play their matches wherever they agree. To assist them players in Section One get free tables at Rileys and players in Section Two get free tables at Colours. Players in Section Three don't get free tables.
Some players may prefer to play their matches at alternative venues and that is up to them, there is no obligation to play on the free tables at Rileys or Colours.
Again I apologise to Jaz for the way she's feels about this, but to coin a phrase from George W Bush, "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully"...
I'll be sure to brush and Iron the table in a comedy fashion before I leave for my pool match. I'm thinking diagonally opposite quarters back brushed, with the other 2 quarters brushed properly and ironed. That really would make for interesting viewing! hahaha.

Maybe if Annie offered free tables or 2 for 1 on games for sections 3 she would get some of those games ?

Now that sounds like a bar billard table to me ! Rolls up down side to side you name but wouldn't half be entertaining to watch Ming tucking up on that !
No

Nathan has been offering and taking bets from anyone with views on the Division one and asked if someone would put a couple up here to see if anyone wanted to take them up too, or offer their own to him. My advice is to buy him a few drinks first as the odds are far better when he's pissed!
Nathan to win first 4 matches (Ash F, Kev M, Jamie S & Malc L) - 5/1 Offered by Ash Fletcher (Bally already paid up £20 - Ash I'm sure will open bet up to anyone else (excluding the first 4 opponents of course!!) who's mad enough!)
Ming vs Ball - Nathan is so confident he is offering a massive 5/2 on Ming to beat him. Needless to say I thought that was too good to miss and have already put £20 on. Come on Ming - I can supply you with 15 pints and still be in profit!!
To win the whole event - Tom Weeks 5/2 F followed by Jamie Street at 7/2 and Ming 4/1
To take advantage of any of these offers simply ring Nathan and quote the code 'battered pricing'.
Quite a few people have asked me about running a book on Section One. I have no real objection, however it would be remiss of me to not warn people to employ some caution as the people taking and making bets are quite likely to be the people entered into the league.
I'm not suggesting anyone would, but the possibility of someone profiting by losing a match would clearly risk the league falling into chaos.
Can I just request that people keep a sensible limit to the odds and amounts bet to help avoid any such eventuality?
Firstly I would like to maintain an email group of all players for ease on communication in addition to the forum. Sending text messages will be expensive for me so I'd rather just send a group email.
I am missing email addresses for the following people:
Matty Challen Tom Weeks Lee Challis Jason Buck Rhys Freemire Chris Webb Nick Mansell Dave Crawford Andrew Gee Ross Gibson Daniel Stockwell Peter de Banks Mark Cooper Tom Gaughan Kenny Broster
Secondly, please don't forget when you arrange a match with your opponent, and book a table, you also ring, text, email me as well. It is important that I'm informed so that I can chase up matches that aren't arranged towards the end of the month.
