Steve Jordan 10-4 Jez Thompson

Jez could not have had a worse run of the balls in this match, and could take no pleasure in the deciding frame being won on an in off the black, happy to get that first win in the singles though.
Rileys sort it out no fosters no stella whats going on????

I have it on good authority that they are changing suppliers and indeed beers. Hence the shortage of fosters and stella of late. I think they are getting Grolsch and Carling.

Cider played Beefy after the county match today...

And I'm sure he won't mind me saying that Beefy didn't really turn up.

CIDER 10 - 3 BEEFY

He had Cows Arse with a Banjo syndrome...
& I didn't miss much.

p.s. 1 break and dish to the Cider.
One of those days!

Cheers!

No I don't mind but it had to be against you of all people that I decide to have a shocker !

The day had started so well with a break and dish in the first county frame as well and then it all went to pot (I wish) it was like the pockets moved as i hit the balls.

Never mind....

JC did play well after 3 - 3 and with my help he ran away with it.....

James Watson 2-10 Dave Crawford

I dont think i played too badly, a couple of missed chances but i would say that daves safety play played a big part in winning the match as when i got down to my last few balls he played some good safety shots to really F**k me up. Fair play.

Message to all:  I don't mind matches being played early or late from the month they are due but only when people are away on holiday or work or in prison etc.  I don't want to see a growing trend of people bringing matches forward just because they are bored and have nothing better to do.

Tom.

Steve Jordan 10-8 Mark Trafford

We were both poor at points in this match and almost went to the decider

Well that result shakes things up a bit is there anyone left in section 3 unbeaten ?

Jez and I are playing Thursday at 7pm before our respective league matches @ Rileys.

Result from last night

Keith 10 - 9 Jez

Well what can I say the match was evenly balanced at 5 - 5 then Jez rattled off 3 in a row and looked a cert for the 4th as well before missing and letting me in to snatch a much needed frame.

18th frame had me in trouble again (9-8 down) as I had to force my ball to the middle to get on the black it came out went accross to other middle probably as I forced it to much as the white over shot the black as well. Foreced into a skill shot from 4ft away which came off as Jez's balls were both over the pockets.

The deciding frame was another one of those to. Jez opened the balls up and wentfor the clearance but was forced into a double on his last yellow throguh a mine field of 2 res and the black to the middle but missed the pocket and was then unlucky to end up cross doubling the black to lose the frame and match.

Jez was stougling with his break as he kept coming up dry but leaving the balls fairly safe on most occassions and I missed to sitter break and dishes failing on the last tricky ball each time.
