This game had a bit of everything, flukes, blacks being potted early in frames and a bit of decent pool here and there....

i forgot to mention that i was 8-1 down at one point.

All,

As we need to start the Play Offs as soon as possible to get them completed, and as the three remaining fixtures don't have a bearing on the top four places, I'm proposing fixing the places 5th to 12th now so that the draw for the 1st round of the Play Off can be published and arranged.

This means that the draw is thus:

Dave Crawford v James Watson
Daniel Stockwell v Ross Gibson
Mark Trafford v Tom Gaughan
Jez Thompson v Steve Jordan

These matches need to be arranged asap and are best-of-eleven.  Ideally I would get all eight people to Rileys for a Saturday or Sunday but I know this is pretty unworkable hence I'm relying on you to be proactive in arranging your own matches.  Hopefully we'll be able to play the Semis and Final on the same day.

The remaining three league matches may of course still be played but unless they are being played in the next few days the draw for the 1st round of the Play Off is as above.

Yup, the hope is that I can get the Semis and Finals arranged for the same day so need a shorter format to make it more workable.  It's possible even for Section One to get all three rounds played on the same day.

Similar to Section Two, it'd be good to organise the Semi Finals and Final to be played on the same evening but the last Quarter Final match is not forthcoming - Ross Gibson v Daniel Stockwell.

If Tom and Jez want to play their Semi Final in the mean time that's fine, the winner can come to the other Semi Final between the winner of the above match and Dave Crawford before playing the Final.
