There probably isn't an ideal system. I'm happy with the current system, but my only gripe with it mirrors Rhys'. A player could lose every match but still win the league.
I have to agree with The Bottler here. Stupid scoring system designed to appease the weaker players in each section who weren't happy with not winning many games last year.
Don't make me call you a chump....oh ok then. You're a chump.
Nicki Kinsey 10 - 1 Hassan Ali - England player versus nine year old.
Terry Ambrose 1 - 10 Richard Lamburn - Worst pool-playing pool club manager versus (very) seasoned pool league campaigner.
Mark Cooper 10 - 1 Steve Joseph - Former Thursday Winter League Section Four Most Wins 3rd place versus...well aw just bless him.
With all due respect these scorelines are more a reflection on the lack of experience in some players and not the inappropriate seeding of others. As there is no Section Four, there is nowhere else to go.
Next season, Section Four will be Keith Hollis times twelve so he can play with himself six times a month.
are you saying im a former thursday winter league section 4 most wins 3rd place? ive never played section 4 in my life. ive been playing premier for 3 years now. am i in this section cos you've confused me with the other mark cooper. i think the scoring system is ok apart from the bonus pionts i had a close game against jaz but walked away with 12 to her 6

I wondered the same Mark. I did say to Barney at the beginning of the season that you were too strong for our section... hopefully you are going to prove me right by winning it!
Well someone is going to win Section Three, and then people will say they were too strong for the section and should have been in Section Two. If they had been in Section Two then someone else would've won Section Three and so we go round in circles.
The seedings are perfect. The scoring system is perfect. There's nothing wrong with the league. Stop your griping. Ha ha.

I'm not griping Barney, I don't mind what section he is in. I'm loving playing in the singles league, I think its great. But I did wonder if you had thought he was the other mark cooper!
Barney wrote:He's also not the manager of Peterborough United.
That's because he got the sack. Obviously doin better in the Singles League than in the Football League

i'll try but its close at the top. my next game is massive im playing steve jordan both won 3 out of 3. but cos of the scoring system if i lose 10-8 i stay above him on frame difference
here we go again lol, surprised you haven't mentioned how badly Portsmouth have done this year in the prem! surely the FA are wise enough to have realised they would have gone under and therefore dropped them into a lower league....
I read that the sunday league website cant be updated at the mo and that includes the singles aswell so i thought id put the current league table up which includes the results that aint been updated.

Nice lead at the top mark, but surely the most impressive preformance has to be steve Jordan being 3rd and 7th at the same time takes some doing, some might say it's imposible....
