The Oxford mile Pool League is due to start on the 21st April

No change in the format from last season still 3 man team playing best of 5 "blackball rules"

You can register online at www.oxfordpool.co.uk

Two NEW Competitions have been added to the 2009 season

Scotch doubles & Mixed doubles*

Forms will also be in all the venues on the Botley road next week.

*A minim of 8 player/teams are needed for the following competitions to run: Singles, Two-man, Scotch Doubles & Mixed doubles

Hey Sheree

Just to say that I understand Robin isn't putting a team in this year, so if any team is looking for a reserve player at all then let them know I would be willing to play once in a blue moon. No desire to play loads, but the odd game would be nice.

Also, on the proviso that a team do offer me at least one game during the season, would anyone like me to pair them in the mixed doubles? 

If you could let any teams who might need a player know Sheree, that would be ace.  Espec as over summer when theres only the summer league us pool fanatics start getting a bit twitchy!!!

No harm in asking!

Hi Jaz

I will ask around to see if a team is looking for a reserve player the GWR A team might be. I will keep you posted as every year without fail someone ask me "do you know anyone that will play for my team I forgot one of my player is on holiday!".

As for the mixed doubles as long as the lead player has played 3 league matches their doubles partners does not have to play any league matches* so you can still play in this competition reguardless if you've not played a league match all season.

*This only applies to mixed doubles in two-man & Stotch lead player has to play 3 league matches and partner has to play 1 partnership can be from the same team or from any team in the Mile League

Moo

I was chatting to my flatmate Will Cooper this morning and he seemed potentially interested in getting a team - though typial Will he's left it very last minute.  Think he's going to ring round tongiht to try and find some other players. I'll put him in touch with you if he's successful.

I think I'm signing up with Lee's Hollybush team, so yay should get some games now.  Can I also put in an entry for the singles then?

Hi Jaz would be great to have another team in to fill the bye spot I have in the fixtures. If Will is looking for a venue Hollybush or Kite would take 2 teams and the Demos might and the George has no teams at the moment.

I'll put in the singles and your with Carrie for the scotch & two man and Kevin in the mixed?

I have not had time to finish adding in all the fixture dates big job that I first thought, but I will finish it this week. There's a little bug with the navigation bar in IE7 which I will also sort out.

I will be dropping complete fixture list in all venues tonight.

LOL, what did I say last night I can never update the web on a Tuesday night as i'm too pissed  i'm going have leave posting on the forum until the morning from now on as i'm no pissed to know what team i'm on!!
