LOWLY MIDGET STUN PREMIER CHAMPS

Division 1 outfit Midget 'C' caused the shock of the season so far after beating an out-of-sorts Tandem 8 - 4. Midget appeared to have their strongest possible team out (suprise suprise) and no prizes for guessing that a certain Mr McIlroy would make an appearance. Oooo i love the fact they must fear us so much! After that victory, Midget must have just creeped into the overall knockout spaces wink

M Guise 1 - 2 J Street
C Coles 1 - 2 P Machonachie
J Saczak 2 - 0 L Street
J Wood 0 - 2 S Rowe
K Hollis 0 - 2 K McIlroy

Do keep up FLAPJACK, there's no Division One in the Summer League and stop winging about my playing... 1st opportunity to play due to work/pool/personal commitments

You had the chance to sign me b4 the transfer window shut and didn't (too tight)

Luckily for you Jamey and I may be missing next week as we playing wit the big boys in Reading. However should we get beat in the early rounds we'll be back and maybe bring a certain Mr Hawkins with us, just to strengthen our team a little.....

and...... Oracle's opponents on the verge of being kicked out of league

Just for the record Oracle A didn't lose we won 10 - 0 and was done by 21:20!!!

I just don't get how losing to the Midget C team is the shock of the season, there a good side!!!

The shock of the season would are loss last week to a bunch of handicaps, the Midget B!

The Summer League has reached the halfway point and it's still uncertain who will reach the final stages. Apart from the Cross Keys, every team has lost at least 1 match and the Overall table changes constantly. It may change more dramatically...

2 Teams are on the verge of being expelled and their results being "null & void" and 3 teams are in danger of going the same way as they have still not paid their entry fees. Failure to pay them by 2nd August will result in them being expelled from the League and any players in the Singles also being expelled.

Whilst this may seem heavy handed, the league base it's trophy expenditure on the number of entries each season and WILL NOT continue to allow teams enter without their fees being fully paid.

Please note; that any outstanding fees will continue to be owed and that your Pub/Club and individual players will not be permitted to play in subsequent seasons whilst these fees remain outstanding.

CHAMPS EDGE OUT MIDGET

This classic encounter got underway just after 8pm as Midget turned up around 7.59pm! As im such a nice captain I decided not to claim any frames, even though there was no apology from any of them! But then again, i didnt really expect it from any of them lot wink was their reason genuine? or was it a tactic that allowed a certain drunk Mr McIlroy time to get to the venue? hmm...maybe we will never know!!wink My opponents name had changed as the card had been changed after the match had started!! (which was the only thing we threw a hissy fit at)

K. Hollis     1 - 2 P. Machonachie
N. Manse   2 - 0 D. Fuller
J. Saczak   2 - 0 M. Haynes
C. Coles    1 - 2 S. Rowe
J. Thomas 1 - 2 K. McIlroy

Anyways, good match, good result (for us), good banter (bit o.t.t. from the Midget at times), good food, good night!

Kevin - Can you check the league stats for the Boundary House please.
It looks as though you have updated our matches played and won, but the scores have not updated. The league table shows us having frames of 36-25 which is what we were on last week. It has not updated our 9-3 scoreline from this Sunday.

Irregular betting patterns on your match scores has meant your frame scores being suspended pending a full investigation.

The recent sunny weather has affected the ability of my Death Ray to ascertain wether or not you're a bunch of cheatin' b'stards, hence the rain today.

Any hot flushes you experience today will be as a result of my Death Ray scaning your tiny earth brain and should not result in any perminent damage...

Any cheatin b'stards will be banished to the outer reaches of the pool world where their career will spirl downwards i.e. the Cross Keys

SORTED, a minion was found to have only partially entered the correct formula for the results. The said imbecile has been whipped to within an inch of his puny little life and banished to the penal colony Zog...

Meanwhile, things are hotting up as there are only 4 group matches remaining for teams to secure their spot in the Cup/Shield Knockouts.

9 teams have their destiny in their own hands to secure a top 8 spot and a place in the Cup, but even just 1 more loss could find them drop into the Shield competition.

The teams currently in 10th, 11th & 12th have a slim chance of making the top 8, but will rely on other results going their way.  Certainly, with a number of matches between teams currently in the top 8 during the final 4 weeks, spots 7 & 8 are within reach but will rely on them remaining unbeaten in their remaining 4 fixtures.
