      Just to announce that as of 9am this morning 25th March 2009 Riley's formally know as Colours Pool Club at 28-31, St. Ebbes Oxford, has ceased trading.  End Of Business

      I would just like to add that any current team playing from there are more than welcome to move onto the Cowley Club. (Riley's)

      On a more personal note, I guess its ironic that I was there this morning to hear and see the closure since I was at the opening evening way back in 1997 (formally Suzy Q's)

(sarcasm mode) Wow! I didn't see that coming! I wouldn't recommend any venue takes on my team next season though as that's both my venues out of action in the space of less than a month!

That's probably due to you and your teams lack of alcohol consumption...

Though, now parent company Riley's can save money on straws; seeing as the students kept asking for one coke and six straws each time.

If the student teams are discussing where to move to play next year etc, you could do worse than mention A1 to them.  Its a bit more central for the student-non-car-owning brigade than Rileys.

(Nicki - the same goes the the girls student team) 

Theres plenty of tables so the fact theres a couple of teams there already is not going to be an issue.

If anyone wants to talk to Annie about putting a team in from there then the club is contactable on 01865 244300 evenings (except Tues). Or put them in touch with me...

I just heard that actually Riley's has gone into administration as of this morning.

30 branches closing, 129 still going (presume between towns rd will be one of these)
