Do any of the other counties in the southern region have forums like ours? Do any of our Oxford players read them if they do?
If so, do any of the other counties have this annual Sh*t-Fight and post it online?
What blip? decision was made...... end off
And who gives a toss if other counties have this frank airing of views ?
They aint County Champions

It's alright for you John because youre name is one of the first on the team sheet every match.
But for people that have literally just missed out on retention or are working hard to try and get a mens team call-up, and someone is picked to play who is NOT IN THE COUNTY SQUAD, its a kick in the teeth to be honest mate.
But...whatever.
I won't be playing for the mens team this season if asked.

For starters I'm not one of the first names on the team sheet. I dropped myself first match and was due to start in the B's last week but for a drop out mid week.
Secondly, I think you are way over reacting and maybe you should look at why. Youth team players are being given a chance - largely thanks to the great effort of Tim. They occupy spaces in all Oxfordshire men's teams. Some through natural progression from reaching youth retention in their last year of youth county, some from qualifying through the men's trials and some from reaching the required retention for men last year.
Andrew Gee has broken into the A-team after qualifying last year at mens trials. Rhys freemire qualified this year through men's trials(Joe Thomas very nearly did ... last person out!). Peter DeBanks and Dan Stockwell are currently playing due to performances in their last year of youth; and like Andrew will get their chances. You trialed for the men this year and failed.
Personally I think you are more frustrated at the fact others, rightly, have been given the chance ahead of you more than the one off selection of a player not in the squad because of a last minute withdrawal. Playing you instead of Kieran would be no different ... YOU ARE NOT IN THE COUNTY MEN'S SQUAD EITHER.
I am sorry if people did not like the decision taken but until they are in a similar situation and come up with a better realistic solution I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
Shame you chose this route to air your concerns ... again ... you have never once spoken to myself or any other men's manager about the issues you have raised here but been a regular on here.

Why would i be annoyed? Rhys and Andrew are fantastic players and deserve to be playing at the highest level possible. They have earnt their right. And why bring them into it anyway? This is about a player who shouldnt have been playing, not them.
"It's not what you know...It's who you know..."
"playing me instead of Kieran is no different" Yes it is!!....IM A MEMBER OF THE OCPF...He's not in ANY squad...
I'm not pissed off about not playing...I'm fighting a battle for Colzy...who was incredibly unlucky to miss out by a point in the season (playing less games than Kenny who just finished aobve) AND just missing out at County Finals...
Thats a bit better, but it ruins it when I have to point out such a simple mistake. How long have I been beating you in practice sessions and you make that error. Unbelievable.
You can have it if you want mate, might help you play better. I'll let you in to a secret, there is a button on the bottom that you press and you can't miss. Not been working too well lately though.
Both Oxfordshire youth teams where in action today at rileys against Wiltshire
Oxfordshire Yoth A got of to a flier and and losing 1 frame in the first 7 frames. This got even better when we won the next four to be leading 10-1,But a bit of bad luck for Joe Thomas gave wiltshire a small chance. Tom Hooper won the match for oxford next frame. So now it was too see if we could beat them by the same score as our rivals, but with shelly going inoff to give them there third frame so we had five lads going for 3/3 and only Yousif Shahab & Luke Ingram & Jamie Saczak making it a good oxford win 15-6. Well Played Boys, Next week we have Berkshire this will be your best chance of beating them so 100% please.
Oxfordshire B got of to a bad start falling 5-2 behind after the first 7 and things did not get much better in the next losing that one 3-4. So 9-5 down and knowing they needed a 6-1 win but this was just too much and ended up losing the match 11/10. There were many frames the boys should have won and i'm sure with time this will tell Keep your heads up boys you will have them next time i'm sure.
Oxofrdshire Youth A came up against there biggest rivals in bershire today and with less than a hand full of wins against them we new it was going to be tough even with them with lesser players,
First set it starts off 1-1 after that the boys showed no mercy and we take it 5-2 Second set again starts 1-1, But we manage to just win it 4-3 Last set and they are coming back at us again we lose the first three and the score is now 9-8 But with luke Ingram and Jamie Saczak getting 3/3 and wins from Joe and Rhys We win it 4-3 and the match 13-8. Well done boys lets keep it up.
The "OLD GITS" and defending county champions got the defense of their title underway with a match vs the 'B' team. Colin Hooper was the 'B' team motm as he managed to get on the black...
the result Oxford "OLD GITS" 20 vs 0 Oxford "NEARLY OLD BOYS" and that cost me a fiver

Well done ladies - let's keep it up!

now the B team found there selfs 5/3 up but again wiltshire found the will to fight and won the match again 11/10 never mind lads the season has a long way to go.
