Do you not think it would have been a good idea to tell us that at the same time as saying we are charging £10 a game and could of also considered telling us that when we asked about playing from there. And what you on about matty, you keep slating rileys you aint worthy to carry our cues? Didnt really understand it mate. Would be much appreciated if you could make it a little clearer for me. Thanks. xxx

Well, if Matty's right and you do the maths (Beefy will no doubt be working on a profit/loss spreadsheet as we speak if you want more detail... )
£10 = £2 per team member, per match.
You get roughly 5 hours of free pool on the match night (including the average of 2.5 hours for the actual match).
You get 25% off of your drink and food, so even if you only ever go in there on match nights, and buy three pints at £3 - which you'd only pay £2.25 for, so you'd make the money back on that alone.
You then get 50% off of table play whenever you like.
Seems like a pretty good deal to me? You can't blame Riley's for wanting to introduce a system that guarantees them revenue - remember the Student team of about 5 years ago that used to order a coke with 5 straws for the evening, but were happy to eat all the free food and play on free tables all night? 'Nuff said.
IMHO i dont think its the money thats the problem, its the principles. If a team is playing for a club then they should get free play on tables for matches, fair enough the club ae paying the teams entry fee into the league but their going to get at least ten times the amount back over the course of the season.

Charging £10 per team, it's no different from a pub/club saying you have to do a football cards. I'd say most people would rather not have to do a football card to much hassle.
If what Matty wrote is true then it's not all that bad really. If someone plays every home match (for the Summer League that'd be seven) they need to spend £14 for the season. If for this we get a table from 7pm to 11pm plus discounts on food and drink plus 50% off all other pool and snooker on other days then it's ok by me.
I think a fairly large failing on behalf of Rileys was how and when the teams were informed of this i.e. only one week before the start of the season and without notification of the benefits the £10 fee would give.
I suggest the Rileys teams' captains contact Terry asap to confirm exactly what the deal is to avoid heresay comments being misinterpretted.
