Jaz & Carrie 4 v 2 Stuart & Pryan

...Some confusion over whether we were meant to be playing best of 5 of 7, but no matter in the end either way.

Was a good game - Carrie and I had to tame our potting at times to keep our opponents at bay, but it was some strong potting from us that made the difference in the end. A couple of doubled blacks from Carrie and me put us 2-0 up, and a brilliant pot on our last colour from Carrie put us back into the lead at 3-2. The last was a scrappy frame, but we were eventually left the black over the pocket to seal the win.

I went on late though, and I am shattered this morning. espescially as I got up for work at 6. Ick.  Hope I don't fall asleep at the England match tonight. Zzzzzzzz

Semi Result:

Jaz & Carrie 4 v 3 Pete & Jez

Well it may not have been a classic but us girlies couldn't be more delighted to be in the final!!!  Girlies for world domination!

We went 3-0 up due to taking our chances well; Pete will conceed he let us off the hook a few times in those early frames.  With only one more frame needed we struggled in the next few, and as Pete and Jez gradually got back into the match they started playing better and our job became that much harder. We created chances in each, and there were some fantastic pots from Carrie, but we were unable to make them count. 

At 3-3 I thought we'd thrown it away, espescially as the guys looked to be taking out their finish. However when they left one ball left on the table we were able to sort our difficult balls out, so when our chance came it was fairly strightforward (tho we did need two goes at it in the end). Phew!!

It was a really long evening, due to starting at 10.30 coz of waiting for the team KO to finish. Finally wrapped things up at 1am.

Thanks to the GWR guys for cheering us on smile it was really nice to have the support.

Bring on the final!!!!

yeah Final has been postponed for tonight, the reason the semi's was not played, is due to illness, personally I think the boys are scare to play their semi match as neither of them want to be beaten by the girlie's in the FINAL biggrin

I will be putting a new tread with the finals dates
