The England trials for the 2009/10 season were over the weekend.
Saturday saw the girls do battle at Barking...
All 3 Oxford trialists (Lauren, Verity and Jaz) successfully booked their place on the England team.
Lauren qualified first, having not lost a frame all day 5/5. Well done birthday girl!
Verity got her head on after dropping the first couple of frames, winning 5 out of the next 6 to qualify 5/8.
Jaz missed an opportunity to qualify with an in-off black, but still got over the line in the next frame with 5/8
This brings the number of Oxford girlies on the England team to an impressive six!!! Woohoo! They join existing players Steph, Shelley and Nicki.
Sunday saw the men try and equal the girls' impressive run.
John Kinsey, Jamey Street, Adam Brown and John Street were trialling from Oxford. Have I missed anyone?
The boys will have to fill you in on the details as I wasn't there, but Jamey and John Street put in a decent performance to claim a reserve spot on the England team with 5/8 wins. We'll have to wait and see if either will be joining the girls on their mission to the Isle of Man at the end of September, or Bridlington in 2010
Useless record keeing left off Malc's World Championship performance from the official stats
