World Rules are so easy, it's quite straight forward for BlackBall players to adapt.

Yup, i used to play for the mighty Herefordshire county team.  I found the rules to easy so moved to Oxford to play BlackBall for the greater challenge.

Actually Kev played EPA many moons ago when it was REAL EPA Rules and played both WR & BB County in the same season

Still any muppet can play with "two shots carried"

(1) well it won't be WR players playing in BB events as (a) you need SKILL to play it and (b) George'd ban you...

(2) as someone of your spritely age would know, this comp was played to Federation Rules but the numpties from up north couldn't clear up in one visit, hence the change...

Excuses, excuses...

More ABYSMAL than the table, was some of the shots your team played

Wouldn't it make sense to travel in one car? I don't mind driving and I can take my car on site.

I'm bringing Nick back cos he's flying back from Thailand on Friday and with all our cues and bags etc I've only space for three people.

I don't know if anyone else from Oxford is going up though.

That's assuming he hasn't married one of the resident 'lovelies' out there...

From today's World Masters Qualifying Event in Great Yarmouth:

Kevin McIlroy won 5-4 in the 1st round then lost 5-3 in the 2nd round.

Marcus Guise won 5-4 in the 1st round and won 5-4 in the 2nd round then lost 5-3 in the 3rd round.

Tom Williams won 5-4 in the 1st round and won 5-2 in the 2nd round and won 5-3 in the 3rd round so has booked a place at the Finals in Blackpool!

Hazel Dabrowski has so far refereed marvelously.

World rules are still easy.

Not so good in the 2nd Round:

The Cavalier, Oxford 1 - 5 Snooker Centre Z

1/2 for Kevin McIlroy
0/2 for Marcus Guise and Tom Williams.

Tom Weeks has progressed to the Semi Finals of the Singles Plate Tournament, but I've just noticed he's lost 4-1.
