2009/10 Abingdon Ladies Singles

Once again the Abingdon Ladies Singles will be an open event with the winner qualifying to represnt the league at the EPA Champions of Champions Tournament.

The competition will be played up to the Final which will take place at Finals Night thr following Sunday

Can anyone stop Hazel from winning the title yet again........

Should be a good match but have to tip Hazel for a two frame margin on the basis she has a better knowledge of the table where finals is being held.

LOL - I voted for Nicki. I would now like to revise my vote to Hazel biggrin.

The finals are at Kennington Social Club right?

Presumably the Ladies and Mens Singles will be played simultaneously. Thus both Kennington tables will be in use? And I'd hazard a guess the ladies will be on the worse table... 

Keith is right - I've never played on it before - but I have heard some tales of woe... At least Hazel only has home advantage on the better of the two tables, I think she plays on the better one for Mon league matches.

Oh well, the odd roll off should just make life more interesting. One of the tables at the Oracle rolled badly on me on Sunday night (entire balls width), but hey-ho. I could always just whack everything at 100 miles an hour.  If so perhaps Beefy should revise his tip to Hazel winning by 4 clear frames evileye. 

Immensely looking forward to Sunday though, and I hope I might find a supporter or two amongst the abingdon hardcores. Look out Hazel, here I come! furious
