Good match with no incidents. Typical short sighted Tandem managment though not accepting the value of their pool teams etc as I gather from the home team they are refusing to erect a proper light so I fear the venue's time is limited.

Just a quick post here to thank Hazel for the spare score card last night and also to Pom at the Oracle for letting us play there yesterday due to the Boundary House undergoing a refurb at the moment. Ironically it was the Crown A that Hazel was due to play (so I believe) and it was the Crown B that we were playing.
Sadly I let the team down by losing 1 frame to their captain which denied us a clean sweep for the last match before the cup and shield playoffs.
We won as our opponents couldn't field a team and cancelled yesterday.
At least your opponents contacted you - ours just didn't show a few weeks back with no contact at all.
not the same team though as ours was the bowyers.
They didn't actually contact me, someone phoned the Oracle and told them. Luckily they managed to get my number and tell me. I then phoned the Crowns captain for confirmation and he was moving house on Saturday and said a couple of others couldn't play either. They also didn't tell Kev.
Defending Champions Tandem were beaten for the 2nd week running by Kennington Social Club, this time in the Quarter-Finals of the Summer Cup. Kennington now travel to Midget 'C' to fight it out for a place in the Final. Midget Captain, Simon Rowe will have a full squad from which to pick his team as the newly crowned Singles Champion is available... Oracle will host Red Lion 'A' (Drayton) in the other Semi-Final
The possibility of an all Peachcroft Final in the Summer Shield is still on as both A & B teams made it through to the Semi-Finals. Peachcroft 'A' will entertain Plough (Sutton Courtenay), whilst Peachcroft 'B' travel to Abingdon Royal British Legion.
Both Finals take place at Oracle on Sunday 5th September
