The miles now has a new Competition secretary the lovely Jaz.

For those of you that have already enter into the Comps your details have been passed to Jaz, for those of you that have not you need to contact Jaz as the closing date 27 April

I understood that you were going to go over comp entries etc with us (the Kite B) when we play you next week in the opening fixture. Do we now have to let Jaz know what we're doing, or can we still let you know?

Or have you already let Matt know, which just makes this a pointelss post confuse

Just thought i'd better ask, so that there's no confusion or anything...........

I'll be coming round the venues during the matches on Tues so I will check with you all then.

Anyone who wants to give me entries before then to make sure I don't miss you out though is more than welcome to let me know on here, by text, or even via moo if you feel so inclined.  Any of these methods should reach me eventually.

Hi Karl sorry for the confusion I'd already passed Matty teams comp details to Jaz unlike the rest of the mile teams your comp entries were in first. At the start of every season I go around to all the teams and get comp entries but Jaz will be doing this now, also any other team comp entries I have received have also been past to Jaz.

With the league being tiny and played within a mile area it's easier to pop in and see everyone hence the competition deadline being two weeks after the league start date. 

Matty has the following players signed on:

Matty Hearne (Captain)
Phil Hearne
Karl Withers
Stez Keep 
Malcolm Lewis

Following comp entries for Matty team are:

Singles
Matty Hearne
Phil Hearne
Karl Withers
Malcolm Lewis

Two-man
Matty Hearne & Phil Hearne
Malcolm Lewis & Kevin Mcllory (Ming plays for Demos A)

Scotch Doubles
Matty Hearne & Phil Hearne
Malcolm Lewis & Kevin Mcllory (Ming plays for Demos A)

Mixed Doubles
Malcolm Lewis & Hazel Dabrowski

So Karl it was you I was going have a word with next Tuesday to see if you wanted to enter the scotch & two-man your partner only has to play 1 league match and the player does not have to be from the same team.

Actually, in the terms and conditions of her job it was specifically mentioned that resignation would not be possible!

and even if it were possible the notice period would be at least a decade!

One or two of the comp dates may chancge so just hold off writing in your diaries for 24hrs...

The dates of all comps stated on the forum are correct - only change was to team KO

Please note that we are inserting an extra week in the fixture list on 24 August to hold the last 16 of open singles (as well as last 8 of ladies singles).

All match fixtures shown on the original fixture list from 24/8 onwards will therefore move to a week later. Revised fixture list will be distributed in a few weeks as the same time as updated tables.

This will impact the dates shown for the semis and finals on the competitions draw sheets distributed to venues yesterday.

Any people who have not paid Jaz comp fees by the 8th June will have to buy moo a bottle of bulmers and Pint of lager for Jaz beer.gif much day they are late paying, tabs will be set up in the Hollybush & The George biggrin

Please accept my apologies for the change in date, but in order to host the Team KO final at the Demos, the date needed to be moved earlier. This had had a knock on impact on both the mixed doubles and scotch doubles finals date. I will text all comp finalists to ensure venue and date of final is known

THIS Friday 19th November
from 9pm at The George

The singles (Jez Thompson v Steve Jordan) will be taking place from 7.30pm, with the presentation to begin straight after, but to start no earlier than 9pm
