3/3 for Adam, Ben and Nick. 2/3 for Matty, Kevin and Tom.
Things are looking a little better for qualifying for Selsey now...!
Great results for all the Ox teams yesterday!
WBerksA 10v17 Oxford A Oxford B W-L WBerks B (no show) Oxford C 14-13 WBerks C WBerks L 10v11 Oxford Ladies
A really positive result for the A team with a couple of usual players missing - the core team really stepped up to the job. It was neck and neck but we demolished them in the last leg. Good work guys!
Finally a win for our ladies - and a good one too over joint top team West Berks. However from the look of the tables its still not going to be enough for the ladies to go to Selsey... unless they decide to take an extra team.
3/3 for Conny and Jaz - and thanks to Lauren for filling in at literally the last minute. Cheerz mate
Great last match for the 'C' team, wrapping the season up in style with a 14-13 victory over West Berkshire 'C'.
W Berkshire, who fielded 3 or 4 'B' team players for this match, won the first 2 legs 5-4 to take a 10-8 lead. Oxford started the last leg strongly and had a few chances to kill the match off earlier than the final frame. Think we were 13-11 up at one point, W Berkshire dragged it back to 13-13, and Marc Reynolds, after losing his first two frames of the day, held his nerve to dish well and give the Oxford boys the victory. Man of the match was Yousif with a cracking 3/3.
This victory has given me some really tough decisions about my selsey squad and after having used about 25 players, I may be scratching my head for a few weeks until a final decision is made.
Up the C's!!!

Surely the B team should have played and the C team conceded their game ?

Mmmmm, thats an interesting point Milhouse. And the C's were v.suspiscious that there were several B players plaing for the C's yesterday.
I guess at this late point in the season it can be a bit difficult. There are rules in place about only x number of players moving between teams each match (2 I think?). Also there are restictions on who can play for the C's at selsey if they have played for the B team, so if they had done this it could have resulted in some of their C players not being able to play for the C's at Selsey.
Thankfully we won all the games anyway, so it doesn't matter to us!
3/3 for Tom Gaughan, Peter deBanks and Lee Macalister Also in the As, 3/3 for Ben Scott, Adam Luck and Nick Mansell.
So Mens A,B & C are all going to Selsey. Yay!
The only way the Ladies A go is if our Ladies B team can do us a favour and beat Bristol in their rearranged fixture at home on Saturday. I for one will be there to cheer our B team on!! Come on ladies B!!!
