I'm looking at the web for this Tournament as Jez & Ming go on and on about putting a team in, I was also thinking about putting a team together, for giggle

Yeah, Moo, that would be wicked.

As far as I know Browny, Benny, Kinseywang + others are forming another mens team too.

We still need one or two more players for our fun team though - put the word out there!!

I think good fun was had by all at Rhyl, well my team did. Go the naked runner biggrin

All of the Oxford teams went out 1st round of the knockout stages (Kinseywany & Ming teams in the team event and Moo (6-5!) & Minx team in the plate). bleh

Not 100% sure how all the men got on in the singles, in the ladies Jo Lenthall made it to the last 16, and in the mixed doubles (this format will be adopted for the Tuesday league next season) Ming & Minx and Steve & Lauren I think both got to the last 16, Tom & Jo went out an early round as did myself (with my beer googles on) and a very drunk Marc  losing 3-2 i'm shocked we got 2 beer.gif

A big well done to Pete Mac, who got to the last 16 of the main singles and was unlucky to lose 3-2 against Jordan Shepherd.

HmmI thought we made it to the last 8, but due to the dis-organised way the whole event was run it was very hard to know where one was in the draw...

Overall a good, alcohol & banter filled weekend seemingly enjoyed by everyone apart from a certain individual who needs a urgent sense of humour transplant, though I'll leave the gory details to his stranded team-mates, eh! MR WANG...

Yeah Kev, we did make the Quarters and missed out on a place in the semi 3-2
I hadn't actually realised at the time due to my alcohol intake that we were quite that far through!

Very well played partner, you were excellent. Didn't lose a single of your frames and didn't tell me off for my repeated knocking the black in prematurely!!!

Will and Ben also lost 3-2 in the 3rd round (was that last 64 or last 32?) though Ben was partly aided by a **** up by the organisers who missed him out and ended up saving him playing one game!

I don't think it's wise me playing this new format with Burt AKA the Naked Runner as we would need 13 hrs drinking time before the match started.    rofl.gif
