Cross Keys 7 - 8 Red Lion A

Can't remember all the match ups, so i'll summarise:

S Keep biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
T Keep biggrincrycry
B Viner biggrincrycry
C Viner biggrincrycry
K Withers biggrincrycry

D Thomas biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
J Hogan biggrinbiggrincry
G Moore biggrincry
A Street biggrincry
S Baker biggrincrycry
D Oram crycry

It was a good, close game but I can't help feeling we threw this one away. 4-1 down to 7-5 up, only to lose at the death - we just gave away too many frames which we had in the bag! Oh well, roll on next week!

Crown " Super subs" restore some pride after the battering the REGULAR team took last year

Crown House turn up with ALL 8 players (5 regulars and their 3 supersubs) only to drop their regular players........

Kennington B

James, Pete both 0/3
Niki
Keith, Andrew 2/3

Crown House I think

Karl Walker 3/3 (second match perhaps)
Tom Gaughan 2/3 (back from UNI forthis match....)
Ash P.L 1/3

Potter 2/3
Matty 1/2
Dan Durham 1/2

Did not play but present

Phil and Jamey,

Not bitter in any way that we lost but have to say dropping regular players for super subs in big games is right out of the Oracle school of tactics......

Oh Come on Beefy. You know that post is a load of old tosh.
Supersubs?! Who? Ash PL? Whos played more than 50% of the season? No, cant be him. Gaughan? Who plays every time he is back from uni, regardless of who the opposition is? No, cant be him either. Karl Walker? Ah yes, 1 super sub.

I seem to remember you dropping Watson for the match at our place, swings and roundabouts?

Phil dropped himself (sign of a good captain)
And as for me, I felt like s**t. Hell I probably looked like s**t I was that ill. Im sat in bed now.
So I told Phil I didnt want to play. I dont think youll find a better team player in any league, I know a lot of people who get sh1tty when they dont get picked wink

Given I was driving and only had one pint I can only assume you are referring to yourself in the context of two much beer.

I definitely remember shaking most of your players hands at the end - nothing personnal - I was very tired last night having just got back from the states the previous day. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Oh dear, oh dear......we've really gone off the boil! That's the thrid game running we've hit the 7 frame mark and then capitulated. I think we've lost the killer instinct. True, we had some bad luck last night........an early black potted, an in off the black, and the fact that we had to have a stand in, who'd never played pool before......but that wasn't the reason we lost. Come, on Keys Army.....lets rediscover our fight!

Thanks again to Clive for standing in - for someone who's never played before, he played bloody well!

So one comment and immediately within a matter of hours

The usual two suspect get on here trying to deflect the story - politicians in the making lol

Beware the wounded animal - we may have lost two in a row but it aint over till the last black is potted !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure when the team read your comments they will be suitably spurred on

Why dont you print them off that way your be spured on before every game and maybe you might beat red lion to a top two finish, with the red lions form right now your in danger of finishing outside the top two biggrin.gif
print that off if you want!
